The following is a review of the football prediction service BETEGY. This review covers the history, features, interface, performance history, upsides and downsides of the service.
Free and Pro memberships are available. The free membership gives you unlimited access to Champions League, Bundesliga and Primera Division predictions, while full membership gives you access to over 20 leagues.
History
Launched in August 2012, BETEGY is owned and operated by the Warsaw-based company iteelabs. The service is backed by investment from bmp media investors AG, who hold a 30% stake.1
According to bmp media investors, “The self-developed and self-learning algorithm by iteelabs processes a variety of statistical parameters such as results of previous matches, current league positions, goals scored as well as current and historical data. The user will be supplied with algorithm-based recommendations for an optimal personal betting behavior. Premium users receive detailed predictions for each match of the season combined with special advice for a personal betting strategy.”1
The CEO, Alex Kornilov, claims the average accuracy of its soccer predictions is 76%, although the accuracy varies wildly based on the league. For example, they claim a 90% accuracy rate for the English Premier League but only 50% for some other leagues.2

Features
BETEGY provides three key services: outcome probability estimates, historical statistics and betting recommendations. These services are provided for fixtures in the following competitions: UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Bundesliga (Germany), Primera Division (Spain), Premier League (England), Liga ZON Sagres (Portugal), Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Brazil), Major League Soccer (USA), Serie A (Italy), Ligue 1 (France), Eredivisie (the Netherlands), Primera A (Argentina), Allsvenskan (Sweden), Copa Libertadores de América, J-League (Japan), K League (South Korea), Superliga (Denmark), Ekstraklasa (Poland), Premier League (Russia) as well as international fixtures including the World Cup, friendlies and qualifiers.
Outcome Probability Estimates
The predictions come in the form of probability assessments for:
- Head-to-head results (e.g. Hull City 21% / Draw 28% / Man City 51%)
- Final scores (e.g. 0-0 6% / 0-1 11% / 1-1 10%, etc.)
- Total goals probabilities for over/under 0.5, 1.5, through to 5.5 goals (e.g. under 2.5 47%)
- Handicap/spreads (e.g. Hull City +1 49%, Man City -1 27%)
- Both teams to score (e.g. no 46%, yes 54%)
- Win to nil (e.g. Hull City no 88%, Hull City yes 12%)
Historical Statistics
This historical statistics enable you to make your own assessments regarding upcoming fixtures. This enables you to formulate your own opinions to compare with the provided probability predictions.
For each fixture you receive a form guide for each team, their respective league positions, previous head-to-head results, statistical comments (e.g. Hull City have scored an average of 1.07 goals and conceded 1.25 in their last 14 games), bookmaker odds comparisons, betting volumes (e.g. 5% of bets have been on Hull City, 13% on the draw and 82% on Man City) and line moves.
Betting Recommendations (called “Top Predictions”)
BETEGY lists recommended wagers, including the suggested staking plan for fixtures where they feel the bookmaker odds offer good value.
The predictions are offered for the following markets:
- Head-to-head
- Over/under 2.5 goals
- Both teams to score

Betting Recommendations (called “Top Predictions”)
Historical Performance
BETEGY is candid with its historical prediction performance. All historical tips are provided as downloadable spreadsheets and all “Top Predictions” are also downloadable with net profits automatically calculated.
Since August 2013 the recommended tips have had the following returns:
- Head-to-head: 6.65%
- Over 2.5 goals: 0.07%
- Under 2.5 goals: -8.39%
- Both teams to score: -6.18%
While these numbers may not look fantastic, the positive returns are impressive given the bookmaker margins that must be overcome.
It is worth noting that recent performance has varied wildy from league to league. UEFA Champions League head-to-head returns were 53%, for example, while UEFA Europa League head-to-head returns were -42%. By being selective on the leagues you bet on you will likely fare better than their overall averages.

- The historical prediction performance of the service is patchy
- The A-League isn’t covered
Bottom Line
BETEGY is an excellent tool to add to your betting arsenal. The statistical insights are great and contrarian bettors will love the Betting Volumes guide for head-to-head markets. The historical performance of the service isn’t mind blowing, however the free membership gives you unlimited access to Champions League, Bundesliga and Primera Division predictions while full membership is as cheap as €20 per month. The interface is fantastic and the service is highly transparent with its historical performance. You don’t have to provide any payment details to get access to the free membership and the sign up process is quick, involving only your name, email address and chosen password. We highly recommend this service to football betting enthusiasts.
