SUNDAY
Canberra Raiders v Newcastle Knights
Canberra Stadium, 2:00pm
It’s 7th place vs the Raiders in last place. Despite their poor standing this year, the Raiders took a lot of positives out their loss against the Cowboys last week. They will be back in front of the Canberra faithful and we know that it’s always a tough gig to beat them in their home town. The Knights haven’t won in the Nation’s Capital since Andrew Johns steered them to a massive 70-32 victory in 2006. Don’t be surprised if the Raiders take down this one by more than 2 tries.

Parramatta Eels v Gold Coast Titans
Parramatta Stadium, 3:00pm
No Jarryd Hayne for the Eels after he was suspended for two weeks for his ‘headbutt’ in their last outing. Regardless of how they are travelling, you can’t deny the fact that Jarryd has been playing up in the line this season and it’s going to be a big hole to fill. The Titans found form last week with their captain Scott Prince leading the way. I simply don’t think the Eels have what it takes to crack the Titan’s defence. Their best bet might be getting some early ball to the likes of Joel Reddy and attacking the left hand side defence.
