North Queensland Cowboys v Sydney Roosters

Based on the Rooster’s struggling effort to beat Newcastle last week by 2 points you would not think they can get up over the Cowboys at home. Both sides have their halfbacks backing up from Origin. In the forwards, Matt Scott backs up for the Cowboys in the front row and so far Roosters back rower Nate Myles has been named to back up in the props. On any normal day I would say that the Cowboys have more strike power in the forwards than the Roosters so it will still be hurting the Sydney team that their regular prop Martin Kennedy is still out injured. We have seen time after time that Johnathan Thurston can back up without a problem, and quite often puts in a blinder. As long as the Cowboys don’t lose by more than 24 points they will retain their place in the top 4. I can’t see that happening and I’m all about the Cowboys here.
