It’s all bad for Essendon and all good for Geelong. Essendon got smashed last week by the hawks and Geelong fielded their seconds team and destroyed Adelaide. History says that Geelong have won the last 6 by an average margin of 10 goals, so not much help there. The inclusions for Geelong bring them close to full strength while Jobe Watson is out again with Hamstring problems. Watson is easily their most important player and until he’s back to full fitness i cant see the Bombers being a very dangerous opponent. They have axed the three tall approach finally which is a good move, Bellchambers is a bit stiff to be the one who got dropped but someone had to go. The only positive i can see is for Essendon is that teams usually bounce back from a bad performance and put in a good effort the following week. You don’t usually see a middle of the table team on the end of two shellackings in a row. I’m expecting Essendon to bring a lot of effort but i cant see them being able to go with the cats. Anything can happen in in football but I think this one is just a case of the margin. Expecting Geelong to win by a large margin.

Adelaide vs Sydney, AAMI, Saturday 2nd July, 7.40pm

Adelaide
In: Mackay, Moran, Symes, Talia (New), Jaensch, Tambling
Out: Knights (calf), Mckernan, Henderson (concussion), Schmidt (knee), Gunston, Thompson
Sydney
In: Richards, Jetta, Parker, Johnson
Out: Jack (ankle), Malceski (Groin), Johnstone, Everitt
Adelaide come into this game with a very good record against Sydney, winning 5 of the last 6, although Sydney won the last encounter at AAMI stadiem by 43 points. Form is on the side of the Swans, although they lost last week it was an admirably loss to Collingwood, while the crows failed to be even competitive with a depleted Geelong team. A lot of changes for the crows is a reflection of the way they are traveling. Sydney have been forced to make a few as well with Jack and Malceski out injured. The crows have come in just slightly to be under 3 dollars which i think is about the right odds however im not going near them untill they show some sort of form turn around, maybe this will be the week. Sydney to win this one.
