IT WASN’T LOOKING GOOD for the Roosters before last week’s match against the Dragons. They had lost Todd Carney and Nate Myles to club suspensions and it appeared to be all set up for an easy slaughter for the Dragons. But, amazingly enough, the Roosters pulled one out of the bag and recorded a pretty big upset. So where does that performance place them for this week’s clash against the Sharks? Was it a one off or have they put their demons behind them for 2011? Or did they simply encounter the Dragons at the right time? The bookies seem pretty confident they can do away with Paul Gallen’s Sharks posting them at around the $1.53-$1.58 mark.

The Sharks put in a fairly standard performance last week and now that they are well and truly out of finals contention, it’s hard to see where they can draw their motivation from.

  1. From nrl.com.au:
“Late Mail: Paul Gallen has been unable to train due to an ongoing calf injury and is in doubt. Wade Graham (concussion) and Kade Snowden (hip) are likely to play, while there are also doubts over Isaac Gordon (cork) and Anthony Tupou (hamstring).”
