The BBC asked 29 TV and radio pundits & commentators to predict the top four teams for the 2014/15 season and there was relatively little difference among their opinions. All but two predict either Chelsea or Man City will win the title while only five teams made any of the top four lists. Interestingly, no pundits predict Liverpool will finish higher than 4th while Man Utd is predicted to finish as high as first with a few who were surveyed.
The overall consensus is:
1st: Chelsea (19 pundits)
2nd: Man City (16 pundits)
3rd: Arsenal (19 pundits)
4th: Liverpool (14 pundits) or Man Utd (11 pundits)
As is to be expected, in the 2014/15 English Premier League futures market there is a massive drop off behind the top five contenders, with Tottenham and Everton the only other sides with odds below 500.00.
Below are the average surveyed futures odds for the main contenders. If the BBC pundits are correct then a pair of wagers on Chelsea and Man City looks to be a solid option. As is always the case with futures betting, we recommend you use a betting exchange like Betfair because they give you the ability to hedge your bets to free up funds.
