Ascot Race 8 – Kingston Town Classic
It comes as little surprise that eight of the past 12 winners of the Kingston Town came via the Railway Stakes. Again it looks the right form race this year. Scales Of Justice was dominant there and despite the rise in weight under the weight-for-age scale and wide draw, he is the horse The Wolf wants to be on. Perfect Reflection is shooting for back-to-back wins in this race and shapes as the danger while the best knockout looks to be Vanbrugh coming out of the Mackinnon.
SCALES OF JUSTICE impressed with a sustained display of speed to win the Railway Stakes. The trainer has no concerns about this distance. Can repeat. PERFECT REFLECTION, last season’s winner, hit the line nicely for third in the Railway. From the ideal draw she looks hard to hold out. GOOD PROJECT tried hard when runner-up to the top pick last start and can go well again with Bowman on board, while STRATUM STAR looks to be peaking at the right time and must be respected from the inside alley.

MISS COVER GIRL is resuming, she is trialling well and has yet to miss a place first-up, she gets Damian Browne and should be hard to hold off. INTO THE RED is resuming, he won the WJ Healy Stakes here last preparation and likes this track, he can race well fresh and should be in the finish. BIG MONEY is resuming, he ran 2nd in Ramornie Handicap last preparation and won this race in 2014, he has plenty of weight but his recent trial was solid and he can race well fresh, watch for support. TOO GOOD TO REFUSE stormed home to win the Keith Noud over 1200m here last start, this is harder and he may be looking for longer but is suited by this track and will be charging late.
