Race 5:
A couple of these are carrying unlucky memories of a year ago. EGYPTIAN SYMBOL won the Magic Million 3&4YO at Wyong last start but had no luck in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas here last year, he is suited by this distance and will be hard to hold out. HIJACK HUSSY improved to win at Flemington last start over 1400m, she pulled up lame in the Magic Millions Guineas here last year after just missing in Vo Rogue Plate and gets a chance to make amends. KINSCHACHI is in top form and blinkers go back on, she will be prominent from the good gate. PRIVATE SECRETARY placed at her only start here and has a great record at the distance, her recent trial was solid and she should be hard to hold off.
Race 6:
SNOOPY has been showing promise and is suited this distance, with only 54kg he will be prominent throughout. MOST IMPORTANT is in career best form, 1400m may test but he will be hard to run down. LUCKY HUSSLER is resuming with blinkers back on and won this race last year, he has plenty of weight but has a good first up record and should be charging late. BALIGARI ran on solidly last start and is suited by this distance, he ran 3rd in this race last year and should be running on.
Race 7:
WINNING RUPERT is unbeaten in 5 outings and has run outstanding times at three starts since resuming, he steps up to 1400m but from the good gate will be hard to run down. ECKSTEIN is in superb form and won at this track over 1200m last week, she too steps up to 1400m but should be in the finish. GLOBAL GLAMOUR disappointed when resuming as favourite but was hampered and never got a clear run in the straight, she is a dual Group 1 winner up to a mile who can improve. CANDIKA has been improved by recent racing and will appreciate 1400m, she placed in the Magic Millions 2YO last year and will be running on.
Race 8:
MADEENATY won Wyong Magic Millions and may be helped by winkers, she is a Listed winner who has speed and will be hard to run down from the good gate. FROM WITHIN won impressively at NSW debut when odds-on favourite, this is harder but she should be prominent throughout. INVINCIBLE STAR is resuming after a strong debut win down the straight 1000m at Flemington, her barrier trial was impressive and whilst not helped by gate should be prominent. HOUTZEN is trained here and has been outstanding at both outings but needs to overcome the gate.
Race 9:
Many of these have question marks at 1200m. DOTHRAKI is resuming and trialling well, he hasn’t won for over a year but has placed regularly in Group company and is suited by this distance, he should be prominent. HIDDEN PEARL resumed with a strong win over 1000m, she has won at 1200m and will be prominent for a long way. STRATURBO is in good form and trialled well recently, 1200m can stretch but he should be prominent from the good gate. LE CORDON BLEU is not the most reliable but ran 3rd in this last year when 1100m, he will appreciate a strong speed and could be closing late.
