Race 6:
Deep race with some promising lightly raced types. LEOTIE looks a big key to the race. She was poor first-up but taken back to Henry Dwyer’s property and reported to have trialled well at the private Geelong jump outs, if she’s right she’ll take holding out. WISE HERO is a super promising type that could easily be undefeated. He’ll resume in good style. EXTRA OLIVES falls straight into the box seat and handles the going. She’ll be in the finish. WIDGEE TURF, ARTIE DEE TWO and SNEAKERS have claims amongst others in a deep race.
Race 7:
MISS VISTA was a big winner fresh but she did knock up suggesting she’s got good improvement. She’ll fly over and either cross or sit outside the lead and be super tough to get past. CHIAVARI could be the big value runner. She gets a perfect run and loves a soft track. MAJESTIC LASS can stay in touch from the good gate. She’ll be strong late. ESTAMINET runs her usual honest race and there’s a stack more chances for exotics including BELSAPPHIRE at big odds.
Race 8:
He’s got the big weight but it will take a good run to beat CHARMED HARMONY. Onto his preferred soft track and drawn to hold the front, he’ll be tough to get past. Big betting watch the Perth horses having their first starts for the Weir stable especially STAR EXHIBIT. He’s good fresh and loves a soft track. ZEBULON will be ready to fire first-up. He won big fresh last prep. WHISTLE BABY will run her usual honest race.
Race 9:
Strong race to finish the day with little between a few. CURRAGH still has good upside and both runs this time in have been good. He loves a soft track and gets a perfect run, he’ll be hard to beat. THE CHAIRMAN will only improve on his good fresh run. He’ll be back off the speed but will be steaming home. FASTNET LATINA is undefeated in Australia. Unknown on a wet track but he should handle it. LOVING HOME could be a big roughie for exotics.

Race 5:
Another race with smart ones resuming, watch the market. OINK is resuming, he just missed in the Ken Russell Memorial (Group 3) last year and performed soundly in other Group races including the Group 1 JJ Atkins, he trialled solidly and has a class edge. BILLY THE KID showed promise last preparation and ran a distant 3rd to Winning Rupert over this trip here before his break, he may need longer but trialled well and can show up fresh. I’M A RIPPA is in good form and has the fitness edge, this distance suits and he should be prominent throughout. ZAMEX is resuming after showing early promise, he trialled solidly and should be running on, watch for support.
Race 6:
The distance suits MUSIC MAGNATE, a proven Group 1 winner he will find this easier than recent outings on heavy tracks, he trialled strongly recently and if the ground is firm should be hard to beat. The big fellow TAKEDOWN will be improved by his first-up outing and will enjoy firm ground, he was in top form last preparation winning at Group 1 level over this trip, he should be in the finish. GOOD STANDING has won a Group 2 first-up over this trip previously and was racing well in strong Group company over longer last Spring, he will have benefited from recent trials and could show up fresh. TUMBLER is a talented mare who has won 6 times from 7 starts and keeps stepping up to the mark, this is her toughest test but she won her only start here and should be hard to hold off.
Race 7:
SPRING TYCOON is improving with racing and just missed in the Toowoomba Guineas, he will be hard to hold out on this bigger track. REALING resumed well, he showed plenty of promise last preparation and won over this distance here, he will be closing late. DREAMS APLENTY is in top form and won the Toowoomba Guineas last start, he should be hard to run down from the good gate. VIOLATE has only won one race but has been racing in strong company in Victoria and NSW, he should be suited this distance and be running on.
Race 8:
PRIVLAKA has been racing well since resuming, he is suited in this company and should be hard to hold off from the good gate with Damian Browne to ride. IN HIS STRIDE disappointed last start after a good Toowoomba effort, he is backing up quickly and may appreciate this bigger track in easier company, he should be closing late. MYSTIC OPAL is resuming, she was in good form last preparation, likes this track, can race well fresh and her trial was solid, watch the market. LUCKY TOM will find this easier than his past two outings and gets a gear change, he won one of these at Doomben 3 starts back over 1200m with 1.5 kg more and should be prominent from the good gate.

Race 6:
DAYSEE DOOM close up all three runs this preparation including a close second in the Emancipation last start. Back to 1300m ideal and right in the mix. ARTISTRY won the Maurice McCarten at Rosehill resuming two runs before working home solidly in the Sapphire at Randwick last start. Looks well placed and drawn to advantage. SWEET REDEMPTION resumes and should be fit enough after three trials winning the latest at Randwick. Placed two from four first-up previously and looks set for a first-up win here. PROMPT RESPONSE close up both runs this time in on heavy tracks. Unlikely to get a start but if she did would be right in the finish on a drier surface.
Race 7:
PROMPT RESPONSE close up both runs this time in on heavy tracks. Looks well placed here peaking third-up and the drier track helps her cause. SPRIGHT solid in the Lightning resuming three runs back and wasn’t far away in the Arrowfield at Randwick last start. Reckon she is looking for the step up in distance now. CALANDA Yet to miss a place in five starts and three times a winner including a strong victory at Canterbury resuming last start. Still scope for improvement and a winning chance again. CAERLESS CHOICE won first four career starts before a solid fourth in the Country Championship Final at Randwick last start. Can bounce back here.
Race 8:
SPECTROSCOPE 28-days since struggling in the Doncaster last start. Previous two runs at Rosehill certainly good enough for this and can bounce back. KELLYVILLE FLYER overcame a wide run in transit to win at Randwick last start. No doubt this is a target race on his home track third-up and right in the mix. FABRIZIO taken on in front at Randwick resuming. Has won a trial in the interim and set to improve sharply here launching from the inside gate. MIGHTY LUCKY runner-up this race last year. Finished on the placegetters heels in the Hallmark resuming. Fitter second-up and ready to win but will need a touch of luck from the gate.
Race 9:
ANCIENT HISTORY import who has been close up all the Australian starts including a Warwick Farm placing last start. Ready to win. GAMBLER’S BLUES 48-days between runs but races best that way. Close second at Rosehill two runs back resuming rates well for this. NOT A GYPSY Resumes and has had the benefit of two trials. Placed at Warwick Farm resuming last time in and goes in everything fresh here. BERETTA controlled the race in front to win this distance range last start at Canterbury. Likely to adopt similar tactics and a winning chance again.
