Betfair – Feature Race Reports:
Race 7:
Confidence Level: Medium
BACK (WIN) Scales Of Justice
Race 5:
COME ON BOARD had little luck earlier in his preparation but has come good with two wins from his past three starts. Hard to beat again. CRUACHAN was an impressive first-up winner after shipping from the eastern states and has the scope to take the next step. Rates highly. NELSON’S FLIGHT was runner-up to the top pick last time out so should also be in the mix, while GOMER WIPPLE will find this tougher than recent assignments but can’t go much better than he is at present.
Race 6:
ROUGHEAD grinded gamely to score against his own age last time out and strikes another winnable race. Rates highly from the favourable draw. RARE COIN is making good progress and can find even more with Perth’s best jockey back on board. Must respect. TRAVELLIN’ is knocking on the door but finding it hard to win. Each way claims. INDI PACIFIC had little luck last time out and can bounce back to be a hope in a competitive race.
Race 7:
SCALES OF JUSTICE is better than these and it’s hard to make a case for anything to beat him. Will be short but should be winning. ZARANTZ was three lengths adrift of the top pick last start but with added fitness can get a little closer. Multiple Group I placegetter DISPOSITION has the ability but was disappointing last time out. Support with caution. ROSEWOOD HILL is racing in great heart but will find this much tougher. Goes into trifectas.
Race 8:
The three-year-olds hold the key. BOLD SUCCESS showed promise when last in work, trialled well recently and gets Pike on board. Hard to hold out. SHOW HONEY disappointed up in distance last start but had won impressively in two starts prior. Back to the right trip she can threaten. ATLANTA BLUE is capable when right but hard to line up resuming from a spell with no recent trial. Watch market moves. BELLS TOWER was good again last Saturday and can settle closer from the favourable draw. Can threaten.

Race 6:
ENIGMAN took a big step off his fresh run when a dominant winner last start. So much upside and a perfect run just off pace, he’ll take some beating. CANNOT BE SERIOS will only keep improving as he rises in trip. Drawn to be a bit closer, he’ll charge home. NIKITAS only needs a touch of luck getting cover to be steaming home. MY PAISANN still has more improvement and gets a perfect run and REVOLVING DOOR isn’t hopeless but gives a lot of weight to a handy field.
Race 7:
DEL PRADO has been solid in both runs this prep and looks ready to bring his best. In well with the claim, if he can get into the three-wide line and get to the outside he will rush home. DATA POINT is likely to go around favourite but he will give away a big start back in trip. He’ll charge home as he always does. KINGSGUARD can bounce back hard onto a much dryer track and SO DOES HE could be the knockout, he’s ready to do his best out to this trip.
Race 8:
HEZA RIPPER has been completely luckless his entire preparation from wide gates. Finally drawn to do no work in the run and in ok with the claim, he gets his chance to win one. DIVINE MR ARTIE was given a solid hit out in the latest jump out. He’ll go back but there looks enough speed for him to charge home. PORTMAN will be better over longer but has the ability to charge at them fresh. LEODORO possibly should’ve won last start, he’s another that charges home.
Race 9:
MAGIC CONSOL backed up his big win with another huge run last start. He loves this trip, if he can slot in midfield or just worse he’ll be hard to hold out. BELUGA BLUE will enjoy the big drop in weight and she did charge home last start. Any luck slotting in will see her run well. ONPICALO will be the one to run down with the claim. VASSAL goes in exotics at big odds with the stables horses firing fresh of late.

Race 6:
UPSCALE was solid first-up at Randwick and just missed at Rosehill last start. Won third-up last preparation and looks well placed for a repeat here. MARIQUITA resumes and close up in two recent trials at Rosehill. Has a solid fresh record and goes in all the exotics. HETTY HEIGHTS resumes on the back of a runner-up finish in a Gosford trial. Has won twice first-up previously and goes in everything fresh here. PIONEERING only battled when fourth at Rosehill resuming. All the better for the outing and placed three from five second-up and bright place prospects again.
Race 7:
Only two on pacers here and they can run one two. GIRL SUNDAY has been close up all three runs this preparation and has a solid record this track and distance THE MONSTAR led all the way to win the June Stakes by a big space last start. Still to be proven at the trip but likely to get a comfortable time up front and a winning chance again. GOLD SYMPHONY wasn’t far from the winner in the Stradbroke last start. Looks well placed rising 3kg in a listed event. SIR BACCHUS looked a touch unlucky when a close second here last start. Should be right at his peak and gets the chance to go one better.
Race 8:
SIR PLUSH made an impressive return to racing winning this track and distance last start. Still down in the weights and a winning chance again. PRINCEFAMOUS resumes and has trialled nicely on two occasions leading into this. Has an impressive first-up record including a win this track and distance first-up last time in. Right in the mix from an ideal gate. CALANDA finished on the placegetters heels at Doomben last start. Has a solid record this track and distance and goes in the wider exotics from a good gate. TOP STRIKER resumes on the back of a runner-up finish in a Warwick Farm trial. Generally performs well fresh and goes in all the exotics.
Race 9:
KINGSGUARD was well beaten on the heavy at Rosehill last start but placings previous two runs solid pointers for this and set to get an uncontested lead. OBSIDIAN won successive races at Randwick at the end of his last preparation. Close up at Rosehill resuming. Generally improves second-up and in with a winning weight after the claim. LANI GIRL was placed at Randwick last start. Twice a winner third-up and a knockout hope at odds launching from the inside gate. KING VIV 53-days between runs since winning successive races at Wyong and Hawkesbury and has been placed in a Gosford trial in the interim. Toughest test to date but hard to knock the winning form.

Race 6:
BENZINI rarely runs a bad race and should be suited by this big track, he has to give them all weight but has won better races than this and should be hard to hold off. SUPPLY AND DEMAND is in top form in Sydney Saturday company, he is up in trip but this not much harder and he should be prominent throughout. NEVERLAND battled on in the Brisbane Cup and may be better suited at this track, she could be hard to hold off. WAR BABY is a very tough mare backing up from a bold effort last week at Doomben, she is in good form, likes this track and will keep them all honest.
Race 7:
YESTERDAY’S SONGS ran on well at first Queensland start and should be suited by this track and distance, he will be closing late. THE VIRGINIAN is in good form and this track and distance suit, he too will be hard to hold off. MONSIEUR GUSTAVE held them all off in the Eye Liner last start and will be hard to run down again. MARYORE ran on well last start, she drops back in trip but will enjoy this big track and will charge late. BANDA SPICE In good form and loves this track, she would prefer 1200m but should be handy throughout.
Race 8:
ACATOUR was held up before running on late at Ipswich, he is better suited here and should be hard to hold out. ZAMEX is in top form and suited by this distance, the big track suits and should be charging late. FLOW bolted in at Kembla Grange, he is promising, this track and distance should suit and he can get in the finish. CAERLESS CHOICE was held up and not ridden out in the Queensland Guineas, he will be better suited by this track and should be running on.
Race 9:
ALL SUMMER LONG has been racing soundly and has form in better company than this but is finding it hard to win, he is well drawn and will benefit from a positive ride. JACK LANCASTER is consistent and is suited by this track and distance, he should be handy throughout. COBRA QUICK is consistent and likes this track, he can be in the finish. REAL EGO runs on and could be closing late.
