Unibet – Saturday Racing Preview:
Race 7: 1. Hartnell
Race 6:
I AM A STAR will find this an easier race than taking on the boys in top grade her last two. Drawn to hold her spot midfield or better, she’ll be hard to beat despite the weight. Nothing between SWAMPLAND was luckless last start and draws for the run of the race. She gets another chance. OREGON’S DAY will only keep improving with more racing. She’ll charge home from the back. JENNIFER LYNN and FLYING JESS go in exotics and that’s not the end of the chances.
Race 7:
Tough to go past the star galloper HARTNELL. He usually improves off his fresh run and he’ll roll forward on what could be a soft speed. He’s clearly the one to beat. LE ROMAIN falls straight into a perfect run from the good gate. Fitter again, he goes in quinella’s. JON SNOW could be the big value in the race. He’ll go forward and only strips fitter for a good fresh run. BLACK HEART BART has obvious claims. He’s ready to peak but doesn’t want a wet track.
Race 8:
Hickmott and Weir look to dominate the race. ALMANDIN was a massive run first-up carrying the same weight where he was trapped off the track throughout. With his stable mates spreading out the field, he’ll get a gun run and be tough to beat. ALOFT was a super win fresh and was doing his best through the line. Suited up in trip, he’s a danger. PACODALI just keeps on racing well. No work in the run gives him another chance. Speed on up front will suit BONDI BEACH, he’ll charge home. HANS HOLBEIN, KILLARNEY KID, CROCODILE ROCK and YOGI can sneak into exotics.
Race 9:
Wide open race to finish the day. TIAMO GRACE was always going to improve with racing off the long spell and she was luckless 2nd-up. If she can slot in midfield she can charge into the finish. AMELIE’S STAR should be getting near her top now. Drawn to do no work, she’ll be strong late back to this grade. HARDHAM was luckless first-up. He’ll enjoy the rise in trip. COOL CHAP has claims with some luck from the wide gate and MIHANY could be over the odds from the bad gate. He looks like being able to cross them.

Race 6:
WINX Champion mare chasing 20-straight wins. Things haven’t gone her way both runs this time in but has showed her champion qualities to ultimately prevail. Wins again. FOXPLAY the Coolmore Legacy winner this track and distance last preparation and went close to causing a boil over in the Warwick Stakes resuming. Looks the quinella horse again. HAPPY CLAPPER excellent return to win the Tramway. Has a solid second-up record and a great chance for the quinella here. HEAVENS ABOVE wasn’t far from the winner in the Tramway resuming. Has impressive second-up record and a value chance for the wider exotics.
Race 7:
REDZEL impressive return leading all the way in the Concorde resuming last start. Has an excellent record this trip and will take plenty of running down again. CHAUTAUQUA Champion Sprinter resuming and solid in two recent trials. Placed in the Rubiton at Caulfield resuming last time in. Has an excellent first-up record and the one the others have to hold out. ENGLISH finished a close second in latest trial at Randwick. Won the Challenge Stakes at Randwick resuming last time in and looks ready for a forward showing here fresh. BALL OF MUSCLE resumes and looked ready to go with an easy trial win at Warwick Farm. Ran a close second this race last year and can hang on for a place again.
Race 8:
LIFE LESS ORDINARY terrific return here two runs back and the edge of him in the Chelmsford last start. The 2000m third-up ideal and right in the mix. ANTONIO GIUSEPPE has been solid both runs this time in and worked in the run in the Chelmsford last start. Ready to do something at third run back from a break. LIBRAN did his best work late resuming in the Chelmsford. Has a solid second-up record and is a winner this track and distance. Goes in all the exotics. DESTINY’S KISS finished best to win the Wyong Cup last start. 4kg weight drop keeps him right in play.
Race 9:
I THOUGHT SO resumes and has trialled nicely on two occasions leading into this. Showed promise last preparation but did a few things wrong in his races. Now a gelding and that may well be the making of him. MISSILE CODA Promising sprinter improving with every start winning three from four. 38-days between runs since an easy Canterbury victory last start but has won a trial in the interim. Looks right up to a race like this. ECHO EFFECT resumes and runner-up in a recent Newcastle trial. Runner-up this track and distance resuming last time in when he had no luck. Gets a set of blinkers and just needs even luck in running from the gate to be in the finish. SKYLIGHT GLOW runner-up in the Tea Rose at Randwick second-up last preparation and a knockout hope at odds here.
