Tottenham vs. Southampton |
Back Tottenham in the head-to-head at 1.36 (William Hill, bet365)
Tottenham boast a 15-3-1 home record over the last 12 months while Southampton have gone 0-1-6 as the away underdog. Tottenham have a 8-1-1 record against Southampton in their last 10 EPL meetings.
Watford vs. Leicester City |
Back Leicester City +0.5 at 1.649 (Pinnacle)
Watford are without a win in their last 6 games and they’ve lost their last 4 straight, which included soft fixtures against Huddersfield and Brighton. Leicester City showed fight in their 2-2 draw against Man Utd after their loss to Crystal Palace. Prior to that they won 4 straight and have gone 3-0-1 in their 4 clashes against Watford. Leicester City have lost only 1 of their last 7 EPL games.
Huddersfield vs. Stoke City |
Back Huddersfield in the head-to-head at 2.60 William Hill)
Huddersfield have been strong at home this season. They’ve gone 3-1-0 against sides in the bottom half of the table without conceding a goal. Stoke City have been poor on the road over the last 12 months, going 2-4-13 away from home. Stoke enter this fixture having lost 5 of their last 7 games. They’ve lost their last 3 straight on the road.
West Brom vs. Everton |
Back Everton +0.5 at 1.591 (Pinnacle)
West Brom have now gone 18 games without a win after they fell 3-1 to Stoke City. They now take on Everton who have won their last 3 visits to The Hawthorns. Under Sam Allardyce Everton have become a tough side to beat, with Liverpool and Chelsea among those who have failed to do so in recent weeks. Everton are now unbeaten in their last 6 games. Given Everton have gone 2-9-8 on the road over the last 12 months I’m not quite prepared to back them in the head-to-head, but do like them with plus half a goal.
Chelsea vs. Brighton |
Back Chelsea to win to nil at 1.67 (Ladbrokes)
Chelsea have gone 15-1-2 as the home favourite over the last 12 months while Brighton have gone 2-1-6 away from home since promotion. Brighton have lost all 4 away fixtures against strong sides this season. They also failed to score in any of those fixtures (Leicester 2-0, Arsenal 2-0, Man Utd 1-0, Tottenham 2-0).
Back Under 2.5 goals at 2.219 (Pinnacle)
While Brighton have been weak on the road, they haven’t been torn apart, as illustrated by the scorelines listed above. Seven out of Brighton’s 9 away games this season have gone under 2.5 goals while Chelsea come into this fixture having gone under 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 7 fixtures.
