Bournemouth vs. Liverpool |
Back Liverpool in the head-to-head at 1.72 (Unibet)
Bournemouth have a solid 9-5-5 home record over the last 12 months, but tellingly, they’ve gone 1-0-5 as the home underdog. Liverpool have gone 11-4-2 as the away favourite over the last 12 months and won this clash 4-0 last year.
Burnley vs. Brighton |
Back Brighton +0.5 at 1.50 (Betfair)
Brighton enter unchartered territory this weekend, having being installed as the away favourite. The odds are understandable, however, given Burnley’s woes and Brighton’s pick up in form. Burnley have drawn two and lost six of their last eight games, while Brighton have picked up 7 points from their last three. I’m not quite prepared to back Brighton in the head-to-head given their 2-5-13 away record over the last 12 months, so I will opt instead for the Asian handicap.
Cardiff City vs. Southampton |
Back Cardiff City +0.5 at 1.58 (Betfair)
Cardiff have won three of their last four home fixtures and now sit above Southampton in the standings. Southampton are on an eleven-game winless streak and have a poor 3-6-11 away record over the last 12 months. I’m taking Cardiff in the Asian handicap rather than the head-to-head because Southampton have been a draw machine of late, drawing 4 of their last 7 fixtures.
Arsenal vs. Huddersfield |
Back Arsenal in the head-to-head at 1.29 (Palmerbet, Unibet)
Arsenal boast a 12-1-0 record as the home favourite over the last 12 months. Looking at the interactive EPL form guide, Huddersfield are on a 5-game losing streak against stronger teams. Arsenal won this fixture 5-0 last season.
Chelsea vs. Manchester City |
Back Manchester City in the head-to-head at 1.91 (Ladbrokes, Palmerbet)
Back Manchester City +0.5 at 1.30 (Betfair))
Manchester City bring a 13-2-0 record into this clash and are on a seven-game winning streak. They have already won away against Arsenal and Tottenham, while Chelsea have incurred a minor slump, winning just 1 of their last 4 games. Looking at the interactive EPL form guide, Chelsea are also on a four-game winless streak against strong opposition. Manchester City performed the double over Chelsea last season and have won two of their last three visits to Stamford Bridge.
Leicester City vs. Tottenham |
Back Tottenham in the head-to-head at 2.03 (Unibet)
Leicester City have just finished a run of six easy fixtures but they only managed to pick up two wins. Looking at the interactive EPL form guide, they’ve have a dreadful run against stronger opposition, picking up just 1 point from their last six games. Tottenham boast a 13-3-4 away record over the last 12 months and have a 7-0-1 away record this season against teams outside the top five.
Back both teams to score at 1.66 (bet365)
Both teams have scored in seven of the last eight clashes between the two. The last three meetings have seen a combined 19 goals scored.
Everton vs. Watford |
Back Everton in the head-to-head at 1.80 (Neds)
Everton paid the price for a sloppy start and had to settle for a draw against Newcastle midweek, but generally they have been reliable at home, going 10-3-1 when installed as the favourite at Goodison Park. Watford have been poor on the road, going 2-3-13 away from home over the last 12 months. They’ve lost their last two away fixtures against Everton and bring a five-game winless streak into this clash.
