Unibet – Race Comments and Selections:
Race 4:
MICROPHONE (1) Brave effort to win last time at Flemington and was a debutant last start. Hard to dismiss. AUXIN (3) Finished 3rd last start at Flemington and having second race start. Could take beating. HULK (9) I Am Invincible 3yo trained by Darren Weir on debut. This field suits. I AM IMMORTAL (10) 3yo first starter for Anthony Freedman by I Am Invincible. Should be very competitive and is a genuine threat.
Selections: 1 Microphone, 3 Auxin, 9 Hulk, 10 I Am Immortal
Race 5:
CATCH ME (1) First run back from a break. Won last start at Randwick and having second career run. One of the better chances. ANAHEED (4) First up today. Won by a big margin last start at Randwick and fitter for debut run. Capable of getting into the money. SHIH TZOU (14) Zoustar 3yo trained by Michael Kent having first race start. Must come into consideration. JEDASTAR (3) Did a good job when winning last run at Flemington and was a debutant last start. Likely to fill a place.
Selections: 1 Catch Me, 4 Anaheed, 14 Shih Tzou, 3 Jedastar
Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:
Race 4:
MICROPHONE beat stablemate AUXIN at Flemington, they both produced some very strong closing figures (and ran good time given the modest (-7L Vs ave) early tempo. ALBURQ gave a sight at MV and winner there is above average. There are up to eight newbies here. I AM IMMORTAL showed great speed and won trial nicely beaten BRAZEN BRANDO. EXETER won recent jump out well. HULK looked sharp in his jumpout. TEMPO and LODESTAR have shown a bit also.
Selections: 1. Microphone, 9. Hulk, 7. Exeter, 3. Auxin
Race 5:
CATCH ME resumes and won well on debut in good time (wind assisted). Her recent trial win was strong, beating WESTPORT and SHIH TZOU (both went well), and they broke away from the rest. PRETTY BRAZEN was first home on the inside on debut, pipped by Microphone (race 4) in good time. JEDASTAR showed great speed on debut and kept running to thrash Enood (had shown up at trials) and For Love (runs at Randwick, won trial well up there since). ANAHEED looked great on debut on wet. She lasted to win a Pakenham trial but Catch Me ran faster time. Debutantes LOVING GABY and LOBSTER NOODLES have ability
Selections: 5. Pretty Brazen, 3. Jedastar, 1. Catch Me, 16. Westport
Race 4:
Plenty of these on debut ALBURQ has placed in both races run and drops 2kg from last run, a winning chance. I AM IMMORTAL looks ready to go following convincing trial win at Pakenham Park, cannot be ruled out. MICROPHONE won at only start at Flemington and drops in weight, could upset. AUXIN finished a length back from the leader at only start at Flemington and drops 2kg from last run, still in this.
Race 5:
Plenty of these on debut CATCH ME bolted in at only start at Randwick and Pakenham Park trial winner, marginal top pick. ANAHEED resumes after a 15 week spell and won at only start at Randwick, consider. JEDASTAR was a winner at only start at long odds at Flemington and has the speed to overcome an unfavourable draw, sneaky chance. WESTPORT first start and placed in Pakenham Park trial, looks threatening.

8. Tangled (2 stars)
Unibet – Race Comments and Selections:
Race 7:
PENSKE (11) Fought on gamely when winning last start at the track and second up. Should muster plenty of early speed. Could prove hard to beat. TOM MELBOURNE (5) Back after a spell. Was average finishing 8th last start at Flemington and coming back in distance here. Should be very competitive and is a genuine threat. ENDLESS DRAMA (1) First up here. Faded to finish 10th last run at Doomben but looks well graded here. Winning chance in what appears a suitable race. FLOW (4) Second up from a break. Nearly nabbed a win when 2nd three runs back at Hawkesbury and suited at this trip historically. Suited here.
Selections: 11 Penske, 5 Tom Melbourne, 1 Endless Drama, 4 Flow
Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:
Race 7:
10 and 11 are dual acceptors but for the purposes of our speed map PENSKE is they factor. Leads if here otherwise it’s RELIGIFY. Deep breaths everyone, I’m tipping TOM. If Blake Shinn – back from a broken neck no less – can boot home TOM MELBOURNE (who has broken a few betting banks in his time) then he deserves the front and back page of your Sunday paper. Apart from the obvious negative that the horse has totally forgotten how to win there’s also a bit of a sticky gate to consider but he has jumped out well in Melbourne and has gone close (yes, 2nd) at the beginning of his three Waller preps. Stablemate ENDLESS DRAMA had a super trial and is the one to beat, 60 kilos and all.
Selections: 5. Tom Melbourne, 1. Endless Drama, 4. Flow
Race 7:
FLOW trial win in the 28 days since last race adds confidence and won three of 11 as a favourite, genuine contender. GAULOIS rates well on a softer track and has trialled since last race 28 days ago, the real danger in the race. PENSKE looking for a hatrick after winning two in a row at Randwick and coming off a win at the track on a soft track when resuming, could upset. TOM MELBOURNE back from 11 week let-up. Placed at Randwick when last fresh and won one of seven first-up, don’t treat lightly.
