Selected races at Flemington and Randwick are also covered.

Best Bets of the Day
Belmont Race 4, No.4 Mystery Miss
Eagle Farm Race 8, No.5 Silvera
Randwick Race 9, No.12 Natalia
Belmont
Race 4:
MYSTERY MISS (4) picks herself here and will be a very short priced favourite again. Dominant last time and extra 200m no issue. Wins again. RIVALRY GALORE (3) is a maiden but ran an excellent race behind a smart type up to this class last time. Can place again. PAGAN IMAGE (1) is getting back to form with a handy enough placing in the same race and is in the mix. Next best DELTA BELLE (6) off a maiden win and COCKATIEL (5) is a place hope too.
Race 4:
4. Mystery Miss (5 stars)
5. Cockatiel (4 stars)
2. Son Of Bacchus (2 stars)
3. Rivalry Galore (2 stars)
Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:
Race 4:
Can’t see anything troubling outstanding filly MYSTERY MISS as she searches for a Belmont Guineas/Belmont Oaks/Belmont Classic treble. Certainly didn’t overexert when taking care of business in a very slowly run Oaks, and this looks set to be another sit-and-sprint affair, with none of these capable of matching her closing speed. Have a bit of time for RIVALRY GALORE and really liked his Aquanita Stakes effort, hitting the line hard. Should relish the 2200m. Rapidly improving DELTA BELLE is an interesting runner, while COCKATIEL was held up at a vital stage in the Oaks last time.
Selections: 4. Mystery Miss, 3. Rivalry Galore, 6. Delta Belle, 5. Cockatiel
Race 4:
1. Mystery Miss (5 stars)
2. Rivalry Galore (4 stars)
3. Pagan Image (4 stars)
Race 4:
MYSTERY MISS (4) Solid effort when winning last time at this course and will be trying to topple them late. Strong win bet. DELTA BELLE (6) Pulled away to win last start at Pinjarra and gets a favourable draw. Appears well in this. SON OF BACCHUS (2) Scored a victory last run at this course but facing a stronger class. Place hope. PAGAN IMAGE (1) Placed 3rd last run at this course and gets a favourable alley. Likely to settle back in the field. Each way hopes

Race 7: Yogi
Race 8: Silvera
Race 7:
YOGI (1) should have won last start when he was held up before charging home to miss by a nose in a Listed race at Rosehill. Has been kept up to the mark with a trial since and is proven at two miles. He rates to win this. AZURO (5) heads north off a Sydney win, scoring over this distance at Rosehill three weeks back. That was his second 3200m outing after placing at his first attempt. Must be considered a danger. SAUNTER BOY (4) hasn’t been far off the placegetters in his three runs this time in, the latest two at Listed level. Race fit now and the addition of blinkers could lift him. DOUKHAN (6) was just behind Azuro last start and is drawn to get a cushy run. Contender. SOCIAL ELEMENT (7) is proven at two miles. Include.
Race 8:
SILVERA (5) was too strong when scoring a win in the Rockhampton Cup over this distance last start. He is at his peak fourth up and is drawn to get a cushy run. Can go back to back. BERGERAC (1) is racing in fine form with cups wins at Ipswich and Mackay at his past two outings. Drops back in trip but does have a solid record at the mile. Winning form deserves respect. MAGNUFIGHTER (7) was close up when third at Doomben last week. Has placed at 1600m a few times before and may be looking for it now. PRIORITISE (4) meets both Silvera and Bergerac on better weight terms than their latest clashes and has a 50 per cent strike rate at the mile. Improver. GOLD AMBITION (9) broke through last start and could go on with it.
Race 7:
8. Travistee (5 stars)
7. Social Element (4 stars)
5. Azuro (3 stars)
1. Yogi (3 stars)
Race 8:
1. Bergerac (5 stars)
5. Silvera (3 stars)
9. Gold Ambition (3 stars)
13. Mewstone Rock (3 stars)
Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:
Race 7:
The two mile Queensland Cup should be a great spectacle, Social Element looks the leader, maybe Travistee does the chasing? YOGI will be well supported here as his form overall in is stronger races & he did win the Sandown Cup over this trip in the spring. However he may be a little short & for that reason I’m going each-way SAUNTER BOY who had no luck at a vital stage in the straight last start at the Sunshine Coast before picking up & getting going late, has won up to 2800m & carries 5kg less. AZURO & DOUKHAN both come out of a recent two-miler in Sydney when running the quinella, include.
Selections: 4. Saunter Boy, 1. Yogi, 5. Azuro, 6. Doukhan
Race 8:
Surprised to see both Bergerac & Prioritise back up from their tough runs in the Mackay Cup last Saturday dropping 400m, no jocks for either as I type though. Awake The Stars could just about lead in a race with very little pace on the map. Not sure where MAGNUFIGHTER ends up from an awkward gate (may push on) however he appears very close to a win, wide & hit the front too early two back before closing well late in a sprint home affair at Doomben last week. Rocky Cup winner SILVERA generally settles around midfield however likely closer here from a good alley? AWAKE THE STARS next best.
Selections: 7. Magnufighter, 5. Silvera, 10. Awake The Stars, 9. Gold Ambition
Race 7:
1. Yogi (5 stars)
2. Azuro (4 stars)
3. Saunter Boy (4 stars)
Race 8:
1. Silvera (5 stars)
2. Bergerac (4 stars)
3. Magnufighter (4 stars)
Race 7:
AZURO (5) Got the upper hand late when winning last start at Rosehill. Has a nice turn of foot. The one they all have to beat. YOGI (1) Ran on strongly when 2nd last time at Rosehill and has a nice turn of foot. Winning claims. DOUKHAN (6) Made considerable ground when 2nd last start at Rosehill and drawn nicely. Can go through the gears. Can give this a shake. SAUNTER BOY (4) Finished 1.3L from the winner at Rosehill last run and faces a rise in trip. Some place claims
Race 8:
SILVERA (5) Handy enough when winning last run at Rockhampton and will try to take advantage of the barrier. Rates well in this race. MAGNUFIGHTER (7) Backing up quickly here. Rocketed home into 3rd last start at Doomben. Winning chance in this line up. BERGERAC (1) Won narrowly last start at Mackay and on a short back up. Should take beating. GOLD AMBITION (9) Brave effort to win last start at Doomben but racing in stronger company today. Place hope

Race 2: Zoulah if money comes in for it
Race 2:
In the Oaklands Plate, ZOULAH (6) is that first timer in a strong stable. She has a trial win under her belt and it will not take much to beat this field. WESTPORT (3) chases three on the bounce and young horses in form tend to hold it. She has put margins on them so far. Will love the damper tracks. INDISCRETION (5) did start favourite in a Melbourne race. That has to be considered from this yard. POUTING LIPS (4) got her win in the country. Should like the longer race. ISCARIOT (1) ran a fair race second start.
Race 2:
3. Westport (5 stars)
1. Iscariot (4 stars)
4. Pouting Lips (2 stars)
6. Zoulah (2 stars)
Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:
Race 2:
WESTPORT covered a lot of ground against the mares here last time before pulling clear for an easy win. Is back against her own age group today and drops 1.5kg in weight. ISCARIOT didn’t have much go his way when third to Santorini Summer a fortnight ago. He won well at Gawler the start prior. INDISCRETION chased home Excused at Sandown on debut. She worked to the line fairly to finish 5th over 1200m last time. POUTING LIPS steps up in trip following a strong on-pace win at Echuca.
Selections: 3. Westport, 1. Iscariot, 5. Indiscretion, 4. Pouting Lips
Race 2:
1. Zoulah (5 stars)
2. Westport (4 stars)
3. Indiscretion (4 stars)
Race 2:
ZOULAH (6) Having first race appearance for Tony Mcevoy 3yo by Zoustar. Top chance. WESTPORT (3) Has hit top form this campaign with 2 wins from as many starts and third up from a spell. Scored a victory last time at the track. Will take some beating today. INDISCRETION (5) Kept finding the line when 2nd two runs back at Sandown but racing in stronger company here. Expected to fight out the finish. POUTING LIPS (4) Chimed in with a win last time at Echuca and fitter for debut run. Some place claims
Randwick
Race 2, No.12 Moonshine Lady – 4 stars
Race 9, No.12 Natalia – 4.5 stars
Race 5: Back Attorney (2.25) to win.
Race 9: Back Natalia (3.70) to win.
