Manchester City vs. Brighton |
Back Manchester City in the head-to-head at 1.10 (Betfair)
Manchester City have gone 17-1-1 at home over the last 12 months, with 12 of their 17 wins coming by 2+ goals. Man City won all four previous encounters against Brighton by 2+ goal margins.
Crystal Palace vs. Aston Villa |
Back under 2.5 goals at 1.86 (bet365) – BEST BET
Crystal Palace are at their strongest against sides that have a crack at them, which explains why 60% of their points since the beginning of last season were accrued on the road. When they’re asked to break teams down, however, Palace often run out of ideas. Aston Villa’s defence has been trending in the right direction since promotion. They conceded 7 shots on goal in Gameweek 1, then 4 shots on goal in Gameweek 2. They then conceded just 1 shot on goal in their 2-0 win over Everton last week. Crystal Palace are ranked dead last for shots this season, but they are also ranked 1st for defence, having conceded just two goals this season. Only 6 of Palace’s 18 home games over the last 12 months went over 2.5 goals, and 5 of their last 6 games against Aston Villa went under the total.
West Ham vs. Norwich |
Back over 2.5 goals at 1.53 (bet365) – BEST BET
Four of West Ham’s last five games have gone over 2.5 goals and three of their last four games have gone over 3.5. Since promotion all three of Norwich’s games have gone over 3.5 goals, with two going over 4.5. West Ham have kept just 4 clean sheets in their last 19 home games, while Norwich are ranked 3rd for the most prolific offence but 20th for the best defence. Keep an eye on Norwich striker Teemu Pukki in the goal scoring markets. He has scored five goals so far this season on the back of 29 goals in the Championship last campaign.
Burnley vs. Liverpool |
Back Liverpool in the head-to-head at 1.33 (Sportsbet)
Burnley have to play in the Carabao Cup mid-week while Liverpool have a bye. Burnley have gone 1-1-6 against Liverpool since promotion and they have lost their last three games to the Reds. Their two most recent defeats to Liverpool were by 2-goal margins. Liverpool bring a 12-game EPL winning streak into this clash. The scary thing is they top the table despite failing to hit top gear yet.
Arsenal vs. Tottenham |
Back Arsenal +0.5 at 1.42 (bet365)
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 8 home EPL fixtures against Tottenham, with their last league home defeat to the Spurs coming back in 2010. Arsenal won their last two EPL home fixtures against Tottenham by 2+ goal margins.
