Watford vs. Tottenham |
Back Watford +0.5 at 1.77 (Betfair)
Watford have looked a transformed side under Nigel Pearson. They have gone 4-1-1 under his tenure and 3-0-0 at home. Striker Troy Deeney has flourished under Pearson, scoring four goals in his five games. Tottenham continue to be suspect defensively and they have a poor 3-1-6 record as the away favourite over the last 12 months. They lacked sharpness in attack in the absence of the injured Harry Kane last week.
Norwich vs. Bournemouth |
Back Norwich +0 (draw no bet) at 1.65 (Betfair)
Back Norwich +0.5 at 1.40 (Betfair)
Both sides have just the 1 win in their last 11 games, but I’m siding with Norwich in the Asian Handicap based on the free fall that the injury-hit Bournemouth are in. The visitors have lost their last three games by a combined 9 goals to nil and they could only manage a single shot on target last week at home against Watford. Norwich drew their last two home games against Tottenham and Crystal Palace – two sides that are in the top half of the table. Coach Daniel Farke has stated he is confident that their leading goalscorer Teemu Pukki will return for this clash.
West Ham vs. Everton |
Back Everton +0.5 at 1.47 (Betfair)
West Ham have only won 1 of their last 10 home league meetings against Everton and the visitors did the double over them last season. The Hammers have only won 1 of their last 7 EPL home fixtures and that was against the out-of-sorts Bournemouth. Everton have only lost 1 of their last 7 fixtures.
Burnley vs. Leicester City |
Back Leicester City in the head-to-head at 1.85 (Unibet)
Back Leicester City +0 (draw no bet) at 1.39 (Betfair)
Burnley bring 0-0-4 form into this clash and they only scored 1 goal during those four games and only registered 5 total shots on goal. They have gone 3-0-7 as the home underdog over the last 12 months. The Clarets have gone 0-1-10 against teams currently in the top-half of the division, with their solitary point coming back in August. Leicester City suffered a shock defeat to Southampton last week but that was on the back of nine total matches played between December 14 and January 11. They looked jaded in that match but will have benefited from the eight days between games. Looking at the interactive EPL form guide for away fixtures against weak opponents, Leicester City top the league alongside Liverpool with a perfect 6-0-0 form. The Foxes won this fixture last season and they have improved markedly since that campaign.
Liverpool vs. Manchester United |
Back Liverpool in the head-to-head at 1.46 (Betfair)
Liverpool have won 18 straight home games. They have scored in every game this season and they have have kept six consecutive clean sheets. Man Utd have traditionally had an excellent record against Liverpool but they lost this fixture 3-1 last season.
