Leicester City vs. Brighton |
Back Leicester City in the head-to-head at 1.71 (Unibet)
Leicester City were tidy in posession and controlled much of the game away against Watford last week. A stoppage time goal denied them a win but the performance showed that they haven’t lost their sharpness, they just need to get Jamie Vardy more involved. Brighton upset the out-of-sorts and injury-hit Arsenal with a stoppage time winner last week, but prior to that they were on a nine-game winless streak. Leicester City have gone 9-3-3 at home over the last 12 months and 8-3-1 as the home favourite. They have won both home fixtures against Brighton since the Seagulls were promoted. Brighton have gone 2-4-7 as the away underdog over the last 12 months.
Tottenham vs. West Ham |
Back Tottenham in the head-to-head at 1.66 (bet365)
Tottenham’s form dipped with a 0-1-2 run leading up to the Covid-19 break, but with Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane back I expect they will turn a corner. They drew Man Utd at Old Trafford in the last gameweek, which is a much tougher assignment than this. West Ham now look to be in real trouble, with just 1 win from their last 10 games (1-2-7 form). They failed to register a shot on target until the 49th minute in their home defeat to Wolverhampton last round. The Hammers bring a six-game losing streak away from home into this clash.
Newcastle vs. Aston Villa |
Back Newcastle +0.5 at 1.37 (bet365)
Newcastle have an unbeaten 3-4-0 record as the home favourite over the last 12 months and they bring a two-game winning streak into this fixture. They will hope that their expensive striker Joelinton has turned a corner after he found the back of the net last round. Aston Villa have gone 2-2-11 away from home over the last 12 months and they bring ice-cold 0-1-5 form into this clash.
Wolverhampton vs. Bournemouth |
Back Wolverhampton in the head-to-head at 1.61 (bet365)
Wolverhampton have suffered from a heavy fixture schedule this season yet they still manage to sit in the top six with 30 rounds completed. They looked rejuvenated last round in their 2-0 away win over West Ham. Wolverhampton’s creativity and quality counter-attack will cause Bournemouth a lot of headaches. Bournemouth limp into this fixture with 3-1-11 away form over the last 12 months and a six-game losing streak away from Dean Court. Wolverhampton meanwhile have won 3 of their last 4 games and are on a six-game unbeaten streak. Bournemouth’s main issue is defence. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their past 13 league matches, conceding 25 goals in total.
Southampton vs. Arsenal |
Back Southampton +0.5 at 1.50 (bet365)
Arsenal limp into this fixture on the back of two horror results and those defeats have been compounded by injuries to three players. The Gunners have only won 1 on their last 6 visits to St Mary’s Stadium and they take on a Southampton side that will be full of confidence after their 3-0 win over Norwich.
