Norwich vs. West Ham |
Back West Ham in the head-to-head at 2.05 (Unibet)
Back West Ham +0.5 at 1.30 (bet365)
This is more a bet against Norwich who have lost six straight, including three straight at home. In those six defeats they managed to score just one goal. The Canaries have gone 2-2-9 as the home underdog since promotion and their two most recent defeats were to fellow strugglers Brighton and Watford. West Ham bring 1-1-1 form into this clash, which actually understates their performances. They were unlucky not to have beaten Newcastle and they were also unlucky against Burnley given the chances they created. Norwich’s relegation is all but assured, so they have less to play for than the Hammers, who will be desperate for all 3 points to further remove themselves from the relegation conversation.
Watford vs. Newcastle |
Back Newcastle +0.5 at 2.05 (bet365)
Watford have won just 2 of their last 12 fixtures with their most recent win coming against the out-of-form Norwich. Norwich scored a goal in that defeat, making the Hornets the first side in six games that the Canaries had scored against. Over the last 12 months Watford have only won 2 of 9 fixtures when installed as the home favourite. Newcastle were wiped off the park by a sublime performance by Man City last round, but prior to that they were in 3-3-0 form and had scored 8 goals in their 4 preceding games.
Sheffield United vs. Chelsea |
Back Sheffield United +1.5 at 1.52 (bet365)
Sheffield United are a well-coached side that are hard to break down. After a string of poor performances following the season resumption, the Blades have gone 2-1-0 against three sides in the top half of the table. They are on a three-game winning streak at home and only one side has defeated them by more than a goal at Bramall Lane this season. The Blades held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season and their last home defeat cam back in January when they lost 1-0 to Man City. Chelsea do bring excellent offensive form into this clash but their regular defensive lapses will give the hosts opportunities. Chelsea have only kept one clean sheet away from home over the last 12 months.
Wolverhampton vs. Everton |
Back Wolverhampton +0.5 at 1.27 (bet365, Unibet)
The venue for this clash is crucial. Wolverhampton have gone 5-6-1 as the home favourite over the last 12 months while Everton have gone 0-1-6 as the away underdog.
