Manchester City vs. Norwich |
Back Manchester City to win to nil at 1.72 (bet365)
Neither side has anything but pride to play for which neutralises the incentive stakes. The gulf in form between the two is enormous. Man City have won their last five EPL fixtures by a combined 16 goals to 1 while Norwich have lost their last nine EPL fixtures, eight of which were to nil. There’s an element of revenge at play here given Norwich shocked Man City 3-2 in September despite the fact that City out-shot Norwich by 25 to 7.
Arsenal vs. Watford |
Back Arsenal in the head-to-head at 1.95 (Unibet)
Back Arsenal +0.5 at 1.30 (bet365)
Watford have much more to play for than Arsenal but you could have said that in Gameweek 37 when Watford were swatted aside 4-0 by Man City. The Hornets sacked manager Nigel Pearson ahead of that game and the side responded with a pitiful performance under interim coach Hayden Mullins. Watford have lost their last five away fixtures while Arsenal have gone 7-6-1 as the home favourite over the last 12 months.
Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham |
Back Tottenham in the head-to-head at 1.58 (Unibet)
Back Tottenham to win to nil at 2.75 (bet365)
Crystal Palace have lost their last seven games and six of those defeats were to nil. Their cause hasn’t been helped by the absence of seven players to injury or suspension. Tottenham are still fighting for European football and they have won four of their last five matches. Tottenham have won nine straight matches against Palace and eight of those wins were to nil. Palace have gone 0-3-7 as the away underdog over the last 12 months.
Burnley vs. Brighton |
Back Burnley +0.5 at 1.40 (bet365)
Burnley have only lost 1 of their last 15 games while Brighton have won just 2 of their last 17. Since Round 1 Brighton have only won once away from home this campaign, and that was a 1-0 win over the relegated Norwich. Since promotion Brighton are winless in five matches against Burnley.
Leicester City vs. Manchester United |
Back Manchester United +0.5 at 1.37 (bet365)
In the best game of the final round a win for Leicester City would guarantee them Champions League football while a draw or win for Manchester United would guarantee the the Champions League. I’m backing United to get the job done because Leicester haven’t beaten a top-7 side since September. After starting the campaign on a 12-2-2 run Leicester have gone 6-6-9, while United have stormed home in 8-5-0 form. Man United haven’t lost to Leicester City since 2014, going 7-3-0 against the Foxes since then.
