Race 1:
FAKE LOVE (12) I Am Invincible 2yo trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace on debut and has the ideal barrier. Worthy of strong consideration. ANAMOE (2) Street Boss 2yo on debut for trainer James Cummings. Could win this. RED ROCKETSHIP (7) Having first start for Michael Kent Jnr & Mick Price 2yo by Extreme Choice and can find a nice position from the draw. Price in this race is tempting to get involved. BEACH LAP (10) Not A Single Doubt 2yo having first start for trainer Danny O’brien. Not dismissing.
Race 2:
SWATS THAT (3) Third up today. Good win last run at Moonee Valley. Massive hope. MUNTASEERA (4) Was fighting out the finish when winning last time at the track and should get going late. Include in all exotics. HIGHLY DISCREET (6) Second up from a break. Fought on well to win three runs back at Sale. Expect to go close. BELLA NIPOTINA (2) Third up. Solid win two runs back at this track but has to carry more weight this time. Strong claims.
Race 3:
WINDSTORM (6) Fought on well to win last start around here and possesses good finishing speed. Racing consistently this campaign. Good form for this class and absolutely good enough for this race. CUBA (4) Was strong on the speed before fading to finish 2nd last start at Randwick and second up. Has shown early pace in races to date. Has the ability to figure. PHAISTOS (7) Proven record when resuming with 2 wins from 4 runs. Won narrowly three runs back at Randwick and always seems to find the line well. Expected to fight out the finish. RUNSON (2) Third up specialist with 3 wins from 6 attempts. Grabbed towards the finish when 2nd last time at this venue and should muster plenty of early toe. Multiples chance.
Race 4:
FELICIA (4) Left nothing to chance when winning last time here and won’t be far away during the run. This field suits. LYRE (7) Nice run when finishing 2nd two runs back at the track and displays good closing speed. Ticks plenty of boxes and looks like value. XILONG (1) Races well fresh winning 2 from 3 starts. Game effort to win two runs back at Morphettville and should be going forward early. Include in chances. EXHILARATES (2) Displayed good finishing speed when 2nd two runs back at Doomben and finishes off strongly. One of the chances.
Race 5:
ALFA ORO (9) Bold effort to win last run at Moonee Valley and will be positive in the run early. Ready to win. DIRTY WORK (8) Winner three runs back at Rosehill and third up from a spell. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Leading chance. DIAMOND EFFORT (10) Strong form third up winning 3 from 3 runs. Really dug deep when winning two runs back at this venue and proven performer at this distance in the past. Deserves consideration. SPLINTEX (3) Won narrowly three runs back at Randwick and shows good early pace. Include
Race 6:
RUSSIAN CAMELOT (6) Third up. Did enough to win last time around here. Has lots of appeal and should go close. ARCADIA QUEEN (5) Was competitive when 3rd last time here. Should enjoy a cosy run off the pace. Hard to dismiss. HUMIDOR (2) Third up from a break. Brave effort to win two runs back at Moonee Valley and gets a favourable draw. Worth consideration. HARBOUR VIEWS (4) Has a good record third up with 2 wins from 3 starts. Finished 3rd two runs back at Moonee Valley. Capable of improving.
Race 7:
HUNGRY HEART (1) Charged home into 2nd last run at Randwick and backs up quickly today. Should enjoy a cosy run off the pace. Winnable race. INSTANT CELEBRITY (3) Nice effort when winning last start at this venue but rising in grade. Flying this campaign with 4 wins from 4 starts. Possesses very good finishing speed. Could pose a threat and expected to go very close. VANGELIC (5) Has potential to improve on finishing 3rd last start at Randwick and backing up quickly. Will be pushing for a forward position early. Strong chance. AIDENSFIELD (7) Having third run back from a spell. Made no mistakes when winning three runs back at Sandown but facing a stronger class. Include.
Race 8:
OLE KIRK (3) Game effort to win last start at Rosehill. Can have an impact. TAGALOA (1) Having third run back from a spell. Ran well when 3rd two runs back around here but hoping that the added weight won’t hurt. Winning hope. KING’S LEGACY (2) Having third run back from a break. Brave effort to win three runs back at Randwick. This field suits. MO’UNGA (9) Chimed in with a win last start at Rosehill and third up today. Flying this campaign with 2 wins from 2 runs. Big danger.
Race 9:
BUFFALO RIVER (15) Was all too good winning two runs back at Sandown and displays good tactical speed. Go close. JUNIPAL (13) Had a comfortable win last time at this course but up in class. Key hope. I AM SUPERMAN (4) Solid win last start at Rosehill and should race just behind the speed. Going well this campaign winning 2 from as many starts. Place chance. SUPERSTORM (5) Was $8 and finished 2l from the winner at Flemington last start on a good surface but always seems to find the line well. Must come into consideration.
Race 10:
ORDEROFTHEGARTER (3) Handy enough when winning last time at this course. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Look for a bold run. IN GOOD HEALTH (7) Fought on well to win two runs back at the track and should jump out and bowl along. Going well this campaign. Can fill a place in this field. CHAPADA (9) Second up. Charged home into 2nd last time around here. Strong each way bet. ZEBROWSKI (8) Went out at $7 and finished 4l behind the winner at Randwick last run on a good surface but displays good closing speed. Looks a great place bet.

Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:
Race 1:
NOTE: Rail is TRUE. Was 6m here 26/9 on a soft 6 and the inside lanes were avoided (by most) from the first race. By the end of the day they were winning beyond the middle. CAPTIVANT won a jumpout beating last week’s winner Ingratiating and Mt Buller, who beat ANAMOE in jumpout on Monday but was ridden. EXTREME WARRIOR ran down FAKE LOVE in latest heat but was ridden while Fake Love looked to be cruising. They beat third well. ALMIGHTY RISING and ZANZIBAR GEM went well together. RED ROCKETSHIP is talented. BEACH LAP beat NAPLES and Zanzibar Gem 25/9 and went a second quicker than Captivant.
Selections: 12. Fake Love (top tip), 10. Beach Lap, 3. Captivant, 7. Red Rocketship
Race 2:
SPEED: 1, 2 from 5, 7 & 3. SWATS THAT was just no match for September Run fresh but the winner had to pull out a freakish last 600m to beat her, she then won (well) again, while this girl went to MV and sat wide yet beat HIGHLY DISCREET by 2L. Have to say said runner-up went super with blinkers on that night, charging late. Fitter, with a 2kg swing, she certainly has a case to turn the tables. BELLA NIPOTINA won the Quezette very nicely fresh then had excuses in G1 Moir. MUNTASEERA impressed fresh, the two she beat were not far away, but beaten by September Run last week, so it ties in.
Selections: 3. Swats That (top tip), 6. Highly Discreet, 4. Muntaseera, 2. Bella Nipotina
Race 3:
SPEED: 2, 4 can lead 5, which gives WINDSTORM the good trail. His win last start was better than it looked for mine, it looked a strong speed on paper but they crawled through a 50.19 1st-800m, Windstorm produced a +10.6L last 600m and the day’s fastest last 200m to wear the leaders down. CUBA made the subsequent Group 1 Epsom winner work to beat him fresh and soft ground no issue. RUNSON gave a sight last time on soft 6 but I do prefer him on drier. ARCHEDEMUS and PHAISTOS have fresh form and are trialling well in Sydney.
Selections: 6. Windstorm (top tip), 4. Cuba, 7. Phaistos, 2. Runson
Race 4:
SPEED: 1, 3 from 4, 5 with 11 trailing. Many hopes! XILONG is good fresh. Her last first-up run she was a narrow third to Probabeel and Funstar, back in fourth that day was LYRE, who has a 3kg swing. Lyre was very good fresh then clipped heels early here last time so can forgive. D-Day is here! FELICIA won that race well and was only second up. They ran fast last 600m/overall time too. FIESTA flew home that day (fresh) but her last two wet-track runs have been ordinary. EXHILARATES won a Quezette here fresh last spring then just missed Loving Gaby third-up. 3, 6, 9, 12, 14 all have cases!
Selections: 7. Lyre (top tip), 1. Xilong, 4. Felicia, 2. Exhilarates
Race 5:
SPEED: 2, 3, 9 with 1 handy. Those through G1 Moir Stakes are: DIAMOND EFFORT (clear too late/ran very well); BOLD STAR (back/widest/rushed home race-fastest last 200m); HEY DOC (never on track/held on well) and JUNGLE EDGE (faded/not badly). Trekking was second that night and he beat home Classique Legend in last year’s Everest. The two here coming through G2 Shorts (won by Classique Legend) are DIRTY WORK (no luck key stage/good) and SPILNTEX (held on well). ALFA ORO and OCTANE are building great CVs but WFA a new test. WILLIAM THOMAS and ORDER OF COMMAND chances too!
Selections: 8. Dirty Work (tip tip), 10. Diamond Effort, 6. Bold Star, 1. Hey Doc
Race 6:
SPEED: 3 may lead 1, 6, 5? RUSSIAN CAMELOT had control of the race from a long way out in the Underwood and was strong to the line. HUMIDOR ran on well late once off those slower inside lanes and went by ARCADIA QUEEN for second. Arcadia Queen stayed on those inside lanes and was 1400m to 1800m. She went well and is still in the picture for mine versus ”Russian” but this guy still has tremendous upside! GAILO CHOP battled well that same race. LEVENDI is fitter now.
Selections: 6. Russian Camelot (top tip), 5. Arcadia Queen, 2. Humidor, 3. Levendi
Race 7:
SPEED: 5, 8 come over, 9 trails. Not sure 6? 1, 2, 4, 13 can be handy. HUNGRY HEART was nutted late in fast G1 Flight, she (again) just didn’t quicken immediately. Blinkers on! VANGELIC led at strong speed (+7L vs G1 avge) and was only run over that last 100m, she ran very well. THERMOSPHERE had excuses (twice) behind Hungry Heart then sat wide last week yet still won, at 1600m. INSTANT CELEBRITY is unbeaten and runs great splits. PERSONAL and ROCK MY WAND look suited 1600m. NIGHT RAID was 4th there, beat AIDENSFIELD and AGREEABLE prior. ODEUM also beat that pair latest and was strong on line
Selections: 1. Hungry Heart (best of the day), 5. Vangelic, 3. Instant Celebrity, 9. Odeum
Race 8:
SPEED: 12 can lead 6, 13 with any/all of 15, 8, 7 plus 1, 14 handy. Great depth this year! TAGALOA ran very well against older horses at G1 level second up. He was wide and had to cart 3kg above weight-for-age. KING’S LEGACY beat Glenfiddich and OLE KIRK in the G1 Champagne in April but Ole Kirk has turned tables on him (twice) this prep. G1 Golden Rose win was fast. MO’UNGA is a good horse but the two he beat latest were thrashed in the Golden Rose. AYSAR ($21 = best blowout? Yes 1600m), CROSSHAVEN (two high-rating wins) and AMISH BOY all have cases too!
Selections: 1. Tagaloa (top tip), 3. Ole Kirk, 2. King’s Legacy, 9. Mo’unga
Race 9:
SPEED: 15, 11 from 9, 12 with 4 handy. SUPERSTORM and CASCADIAN were both desperately unlucky in the G1 Rupert Clarke. Superstorm comes back in trip on 7-day turnaround. Cascadian’s mile form includes luckless 3.4L ninth in G1 Doncaster, narrow third to Fierce Impact in G1 Cantala and a win over JUNIPAL, whom he now meets 4.5kg better. Junipal is flying though. BUFFALO RIVER beat ACHERNAR STAR in May and that horse was a close-up fourth in that Rupert Clarke. I AM SUPERMAN beat Epsom-placed Riodini last time. REYKJAVIK was good in limited room last time.
Selections: 5. Superstorm (top tip), 2. Cascadian, 15. Buffalo River, 13. Junipal
Race 10:
SPEED: 7 can lead 3 with 8, 1, 11 handy? ORDEROFTHEGARTER had the gun run but won a high-rating Naturalism Stakes here beating CHAPADA, who charged late and was only first up. Third was Steel Prince, who was enormous last week. Fourth was IN GOOD HEALTH, who did a stack of early work on a strong (+7.3L vs class average) early tempo and ran super! GALLIC CHIEFTAIN was 10th but he was shuffled back last before running home in 11.34 for the last 200m (race-fastest). THE CHOSEN ONE won this impressively last year. ZEBROWSKI’s form ties in through Shared Ambition.
Selections: 7. In Good Health (top tip), 3. Orderofthegarter, 10. Gallic Chieftain, 8. Zebrowski
Race 1:
12. Fake Love, 5. Extreme Warrior, 3. Captivant (scratched), 10. Beach Lap

Race 6: Alligator Blood (1.80)
Race 7: 1 – Montefilia (3.30), 2 – Cherry Tortoni (6.00) , 3 – Lion’s Roar (18.00)
Race 2:
DOUBTLAND (2) Third up. Got the prize when winning last start at Flemington. Bold performance expected. WILD RULER (1) Second up from a spell. Fought on gamely when winning last time at Rosehill but up in class. Goes close. MUNTASEERA (5) Having second run back from a spell. Won narrowly last start at Caulfield and displays very good closing speed. Expected to fight out the finish. OSAMU (3) Ran 2nd two runs back at Warwick Farm but facing a stronger grade today. Should jump out and bowl along. Good prospects.
Race 5:
PELTZER (2) Finished 2nd three runs back at Rosehill and gets a favourable barrier. The one they all have to beat. MAMARAGAN (1) Flew home into 3rd three runs back at Rosehill. Good enough for this and worth a bet. JET PROPULSION (5) Did enough to win two runs back at Newcastle but up against stronger competition. Won’t be far away during the run. Must be considered. PRIME STAR (3) Won narrowly two runs back at Rosehill but racing in stronger company today. Expect to go close
Race 7:
MONTEFILIA (13) Was fighting out the finish when winning last run around here and going well this preparation. Should just about get the run of the race. Serious contender. LOVE TAP (3) Good win last run at Rosehill and displays good tactical speed. Very tidy this campaign winning 4 from as many starts. Winnable race. CHERRY TORTONI (1) Fought on gamely when winning three runs back at Flemington and gets a nice run behind the speed. Warrants a bet. WERTHEIMER (10) Solid effort when winning three runs back at Cranbourne but up in grade. Expected to settle towards the rear. Just needs to find that extra gear late
Race 8:
ALL SAINTS’ EVE (5) Got the prize when winning last run at Newcastle and third up from a break. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Looks very sharp this campaign with 2 wins from as many runs. Could take beating. POSITIVE PEACE (2) Made up considerable ground when 4th last start at Rosehill and having third run back from a break. Should enjoy a cosy run off the pace. Wouldn’t leave out of multiples. EMERALDS (9) Won by a big margin three runs back at Canterbury. Possesses good closing speed. Can fill a place in this field. ASIAGO (3) Was all too good winning two runs back at Wyong and displays very good closing speed. One at a bit of odds
Race 2: Doubtland
Race 5: Peltzer
Race 7: Montefilia and Cherry Tortoni
Race 8: All Saints’ Eve, saving on Emeralds
Sportsbet – Race Comments and Selections:
Race 2:
Only a small offering here and it may get even smaller (MUNTASEERA also in at Caulfield). 3 and 1 look the clear-cut pace runners. WILD RULER was rock-solid on return and this race has fallen away a touch. Nullifies the outside draw by crossing up and won’t be easy to get past. DOUBTLAND an obvious danger. Was a little disappointing on return but put that well behind him by winning at Flemington, with ON THE LEAD in arrears. MUNTASEERA also comes back to Sydney and her resuming win also had merit.
Selections: 1. Wild Ruler (top tip), 2. Doubtland, 5. Muntaseera, 4. On The Lead
Race 5:
Fancy 5 can lead 1, 2 and 3…..if they all are here. MAMARAGAN is in the Guineas at Caulfield (drawn 13) so has a decision to make. GLOBAL QUEST also in the 2000m G1 here later on (looks challenging). Even if the toppie stays in Sydney you can make a solid case for PELTZER on recent evidence. They have competed in the same three races this prep and PELTZER has finished ahead of him each time. Forgive MAMARAGAN the Golden Rose I reckon as he was niggled early from the inside. But still, PELTZER outgunned him in the end and can see the right run here. Comfortable the Golden Rose is the right form.
Selections: 2. Peltzer (top tip), 1. Mamaragan, 4. Global Quest, 5. Jet Propulsion
Race 7:
A full field shows up for the G1 of the day. 6 to lead 3, 5 and 4. MONTEFILIA looks a fair bet backing up from her G1 joy last week. Isn’t this the distance she’s always been looking for?? Drawing the fence doesn’t thrill me but if she can find some clear she can be very strong again. Similarly, CHERRY TORTONI is crying out for this journey and is prepared to travel interstate to find it. No match for a good horse at MV but looked the one you wanted to follow over further….and here he is. LOVE TAP brings a faultless record to his main aim. It will be some first prep if he can manage to win. BUCHAREST (gun run here?) and FAVREAU both solid in the Gloaming.
Selections: 13. Montefilia (best of the day), 1. Cherry Tortoni, 3. Love Tap, 5. Bucharest
Race 8:
7 an early scratching, 8, 17 and 18 have other options. Pace is from the wider barriers – 6, 1, 4 and 2 crossing over. ASIAGO got chopped out a couple of times at Newcastle, including missing the run that the winner took. Can narrow her beaten margin if not totally close it. She had EMERALDS covered prior and she has gone great since. ALL SAINTS’ EVE has come back super but does see a barrier that could offer some challenges. If ASIAGO is a chance then clearly she must be too. POSITIVE PEACE no luck last start but things could be a bit tricky for her here as well.
Selections: 3. Asiago (top tip), 5. All Saints’ Eve, 9. Emeralds, 2. Positive Peace
Race 2: No. 1 Wild Ruler
Race 7: No. 1 Cherry Tortoni
Quaddie: 1,7/1,13/2,3,5,9/4,5,6,11
