GHODELEINE (3) Did a good job when winning last time at Sandown and always seems to find the line well. Expected to fight out the finish. WHITE HIBISCUS (10) Stormed home when 3rd last run at Sandown and third up. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. Major hope. BETCHA FLYING (1) Nice show placing 3rd last time at Caulfield but rises in weight. Always seems to find the line well. Among the chances. LADY D’ORO (5) Showed promise when winning two runs back at Sandown and carrying less weight this time. Shows very good finishing speed. Each way hope.
Race 7:
SMOKIN’ ROMANS (5) Bold effort to win last start at Sandown but going up in weight. Jamie Kah rates highly aboard. Good enough for this and worth a bet. MR MOOJ (6) Got the prize when winning two runs back at Sandown and will appreciate the drop in weight. Has to be included. MASERARTIE BAY (3) Showed a good turn of foot when 2nd three runs back at Flemington but coming up in distance. Among better hopes. CRIMSON ACE (13) Ran 6th last run at Flemington but drops back to a suitable class. Should race just behind the speed. Has scope so do not ignore.
Race 8:
RED SANTA (4) Was fighting out the finish when winning last start at Caulfield but rises in weight. Racing consistently this campaign. Chance to break through and a could give a show. NAMAKWA (1) Bold effort to win two runs back at Flemington and tracking very well this campaign. Blinkers off could be an important change. Expect to go close. SEB SONG (2) Nice show finishing 2nd two runs back at Flemington but hoping that the added weight won’t hurt. Trifectas chance. FLOSSING (6) Fought on well to win three runs back at Bairnsdale. Modest chance for multis.
Race 9:
FLASH FLOOD (18) Got the upper hand late when winning last run at the track and Jamie Kah is a bonus. Displays good tactical speed. One of the major players. FOXY LADY (10) Did enough to win two runs back around here but first up today. Placed 3rd in a barrier trial at Traralgon on Jun 7th. Expect to go close. WILMOT PASS (8) Flashed home late into 2nd last run at Flemington but rises in weight. Finishes off strongly. Leading chance. ROCK IN THE PARK (7) Second up from a break. Bold effort to win last time at Sandown and can save some energy from the alley. Maybe for the trifectas and a marginal hope.

SPEED: 6, 9, 11 and also 12. 1, 2 can take trails. BETCHA FLYING doesn’t win often, however, the last time she was in BM78 class, she did win, with 60kg. WHY CHOOSE HER had no luck last week but 1600m is a query. GHODELEINE has come back very well and easily beat key rivals LADY D’ORO, WHITE HIBISCUS and LEALE at Hillside. Wish CHANGING TRACKS had drawn better but love the way she went over the line in a good race at Flemington second up, she can win ? pattern?

Race 7:
SPEED: 2, 15 with 3, 6 but many others can be handy here. MASERARTIE BAY was wide/terrific at Flemington then back in trip at Rosehill latest, he gets to 2500m and is 2 for 2 at 2400m. PRINCE ZIGGY really found the line last time and was six weeks off. SMOKIN’ ROMANS tries 2500m and draws wide but last win was strong! MR MOOJ, CARRIE (overs?) and CRIMSON ACE are all in the game, as is PISSARO at (likely) odds?

Speed good on paper: 5,12 go fwd but any/ all of 1,2,3,6,7,9,17 can be handy! RED SANTA ran down FLOSSING at Caulfield with SWINDON LASS a terrific third off wide run, but they all draw out. NAMAKWA impressed two-back then was less suited on slow speed last time with 60kg, 6-weeks off? SEB SONG is honest but the end of 2040m may just test him? Back to 3yo class helps. LITERATI (speaking of genuine) has a case. TINTINWIN has a great will to win, 2040m looks ok. DUBAI MOON and CAPRICORN RIDGE come back in trip on back-up. CAFE RIZU with colder ride and no weight goes in, the overs?

SPEED: 1,4,14 with 18 and maybe 11 handy? WILMOT PASS joined in strongly at Flemington but was nutted late, there were in-form horses behind him, his one run here was luckless! FLASH FLOOD returns gelded and latest jump out looked very good. FOXY LADY jumped out well in strong heat, she won well here fresh in Feb 2020 and chased Miss Albania fresh last prep. Can win! IMPERIAL LAD, ROCK IN THE PARK, YELDARB, MR CANCUN, MINYINGA and SALT BAY all hopes.

DENERO (3) Did well to place 3rd two runs back at Sandown but carrying more weight than last time. Displays good finishing speed. Major claims. FLYING PIERRO (8) Racing for the second time this week. Fought on gamely when winning two runs back at Gawler. Should get a lovely cart into it from just behind the leaders. Capable of getting into the money. MASTER CHUM (1) Kept finding the line when 3rd two runs back at Flemington but rising in weight. Can go through the gears. Genuine winning chance. STAN THE CADDY (9) Couldn’t shake them off when 2nd two runs back at Murray Bridge and dropping weight today. Shows good early pace. This field suits.
Race 7:
METEORITE (8) Finished on top two runs back at Mornington. Shows good early pace. Include in chances. BRIMARVI VEHERO (2) Put in a competitive run when placing 2nd last start here. Winning hope. TAKEN OFF (5) Fought on well to win two runs back around here and likely to race off the speed. Warrants a bet. CAN’T BE DONE (6) Scored a victory two runs back at Sandown. Shows good early pace. One of the main dangers.
Race 8:
BEAU ROSSA (1) Chimed in with a win two runs back at this venue but back after a spell. Blinkers off could be an important change. Ready to win. MAHA (5) Displayed potential when winning last run at Gawler but rises in weight. Will be positive in the run early. Among better hopes. ESTA LA ROCA (6) Came in 2nd last run at Caulfield and expecting to settle positively. Winning chance in this line up. DIRTY THOUGHTS (8) Good run when placing 3rd last start at Flemington and second up from a spell. Should muster plenty of early speed. Include in all exotics.
Race 9:
GREAT DIVINER (5) Won narrowly last start around here and racing consistently this campaign. Should get a lovely cart into it from just behind the pace. Will go well. HALCYON DAME (8) Got the cash when winning two runs back at Ballarat and likely to race off the speed. Blinkers on could be an important change. Big danger. ECHOES IN ETERNITY (9) Flew home into 2nd two runs back at this track and going well this preparation. Likely to get a nice run behind the speed. Leading chance. NONAME LANE (10) Second up from a spell. Landed the spoils when winning last time at Murray Bridge and goes down in weight. Would like to see betting push before considering.

DENERO was placed in a bm70 at Sandown two starts ago, then went to Flemington where he finished fifth in a much stronger race. The step up to 1800m looks ideal and Jess Eaten takes the ride. MASTER CHUM is back in trip after running fifth behind Grand Promenade in the Banjo Paterson earlier this month. STAN THE CADDY has been around the mark in recent runs. If he can get an easy lead here, he could prove hard to run down. FLYING PIERRO ran home well to just miss out here last week. He looks ready to tackle the longer trip. MUNTHAM MISSILE is better than her most recent effort suggests.

Race 7:
METEORITE looked good winning a bm70 at Mornington at his second run back from a spell. There were excuses for him at Caulfield last start, be forgiving. TAKEN OFF progressed through the grades nicely last campaign, winning three in a row in January/February. Expecting him to run a big race fresh. STAR HILLS returned to his best when he got the money here a fortnight ago. Once he finds form, he tends to hold it. ONEMORE JACK was competitive in some good races last preparation. Look for him to be hitting the line strongly. BRIMARVI VEHERO has been racing consistently and shouldn’t be overlooked

Race 8:
BEAU ROSSA kicked off his last campaign with an easy win over Chosen Blonde before going onto score at Sandown second up. Two subsequent runs were excellent, expecting him to be hard to beat here. ESTA LA ROCA raced on the pace and stuck on gamely to place at Caulfield last start. She won well when resuming and will push forward again here from a good draw. VALAQUENTA has raced well when fresh in the past. He tends to get back in his races though so will need some luck from the inside gate. DIRTY THOUGHTS and PEGGY SELENE have good records on wet tracks.

Race 9:
GREAT DIVINER made it two wins on the trot when he defeated Zoist a fortnight ago. BUTTON EXPRESS had no favours from a wide gate at Geelong last start. It was her first run for seven weeks so she can only be further improved and she has drawn well here in barrier 2. HALCYON DAME was impressive winning at Ballarat in May when resuming. She didn’t threaten last start but is worth another chance. Blinkers go on for the first time today. VIOLINIST and NONAME LANE are other hopes.

SURF DANCER (2) Having second run back from a break. Displayed potential when winning three runs back at York. Winnable race. BLONDEAU (8) Got the prize when winning last start at this track and likely to race off the speed. Has been a model of consistency since returning from a spell. Among better hopes. MADAM LEGEND (9) Displayed potential when winning last time at Rosehill and second up from a spell. Expecting to settle just off the pace. Finished 3rd in a barrier trial at Royal Randwick on Jul 27th. Right in this. NEW ARRANGEMENT (1) Really dug deep when winning two runs back at this course and James Mcdonald is in form. Can go through the gears. Looks to be the value.
Race 8:
SIXGUN (9) Stormed home when 2nd two runs back around here and dropping weight today. Interesting gear change of blinkers on first time. Include in chances. DE GRAWIN (2) Was outmuscled when 3rd last time at the track and hard to fault at the distance. Should be going forward early. Gets a chance to win. MISS DIOR (8) Second up. Won narrowly three runs back at Wyong but going up in weight. Expected to fight out the finish. REMLAPS GEM (4) Had a comfortable win two runs back at Scone and likely to be well placed early. Has run into the money 4 from 5 attempts this preparation. Looks set to run a place.

SPACEBOY (1) Second up. Produced an eye catching run when 2nd last run at Flemington and suited by the weight drop. Right in this. OUR BELLAGIO MISS (6) Bold effort to win last run at this track and can save some energy from the barrier. Strong form this campaign winning 2 from 3 starts. Leading chance. I AM POWER (2) Won narrowly two runs back at Rosehill and suited by the weight drop. Drawn to sit just in behind the speed. Gets a chance to win. BEST STONE (5) Ran well when 2nd last start around here and James Mcdonald is in top form. Won’t be far away during the run. Success in a barrier trial at Canterbury Park on Jul 2nd. Betting is the best guide and has each way claims.

KORDIA (1) Finished strongly when 5th last start around here and James Mcdonald is a key booking. Leading chance. VITESSE (13) Brave effort to win last start at this track. Shows good early pace. Rates a winning chance. CUBAN ROYALE (3) Having third run back from a break. Nice effort when winning last start at Rosehill. Place chance. HE’S A HOTSHOT (7) Did well when 2nd last run at Rosehill and racing again inside a week. Expected to be flashing home. Market watch advised and can run into the money.

2 and 7 (if here and not R10) can lead out. 10 and 5 handy as well. MADAM LEGEND completes a small but select representation from the Les Bridge yard here today. It’s now 5 weeks since she saluted on resumption and jumping from 1100 to 1400m is quite the challenge, but the trip in and of itself is not a worry; she has already won at 1400m three times. Like VITESSE as a chance wherever she ends up today. NEW ARRANGEMENT is still early in his prep and and he had a little issue last time. If you can run on today he will.

Race 8:
Plenty of speed in this one. 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15 are all capable of heading things up on their day. Tommy Berry has gone out of town twice to ride PERLANT so she creates plenty of interest here after winning her Maiden like a good filly. BATTLEGROUND fresh and capable at this level I’m quite sure. REMLAPS GEM might be a price and has an each-way hope. SIXGUN has run in some better races than this. Would want him as a winner for me here as well.

Race 9:
Looks relatively open but I’ll have I AM POWER despite coming up in grade. Drops 5 kilos for his trouble and should set up nicely here. HULK perennially luckless it seems and he is challenged here by a very wide draw but switching off Heavy is undoubtedly a positive, as is the likelihood of a string tempo. The same applies to BROKEN ARROWS.

Race 10:
Golly, just not sure what to make of the last, unless the emergencies make their way in. Pace from 7, 13, 5 and 11. VITESSE has a winnable earlier option but only needs two scratchings and this would be just as winnable. Able to adapt off the Heavy without a worry, as should the mare she beat last time – THINK FREE. KORDIA should be just about ready now after three runs back. McDonald on, down in grade, there won’t be too many easier options for him than this in Sydney on a Saturday.
