Burnley vs. Luton |
Luton in the head-to-head at 4.00 (Unibet)
Luton +0.5 at 1.94 (Betfair)
Burnley have gone 1-0-9 at Turf Moor this season, which is the worst home record in the league. They failed to score in their last two home fixtures. Luton have won two of their last three games and they only lost by one-goal margins to Arsenal (3-4), Man City (1-2) and Chelsea (2-3) in recent weeks. Burnley’s home goal difference this season is -14, which is worse than Luton’s away goal difference of -10.
Newcastle vs. Man City |
Man City in the head-to-head at 1.58 (Unibet)
The injury-hit Newcastle currently have ten players unavailable, while Manchester City’s injury woes have lessened with the return of Kevin De Bruyne. Newcastle have lost five of their last six EPL fixtures, and this includes a 1-3 home defeat against Nottingham Forest. Man City boast the best away record (6-1-3) in the league.
Everton vs. Aston Villa |
Aston Villa in the head-to-head at 2.48 (Betfair)
Aston Villa +0.5 at 1.48 (Betfair)
Aston Villa have won five on the trot against Everton and the hosts limp into this fixture on the back of three consecutive defeats. Everton have gone 2-2-4 as the home underdog over the last twelve months, while Aston Villa have gone 4-2-2 as the away favourite.
NOTE: the following fixtures take place a week later than the games listed above.
Brentford vs. Nottm Forest |
Nottingham Forest in the head-to-head at 3.80 (bet365)
Nottingham Forest +0.5 at 1.92 (Betfair)
The injury-hit Brentford currently have eleven players unavailable and it’s showing in their results. They bring a five-game losing streak into this game. Within that run the results have actually been deteriorating. The first of those three defeats were by 1-goal margins, but their most recent games saw them lose 1-4 at home to Wolves (who had been poor away from home) and then 1-3 away against Crystal Palace (who had been poor at home). Nottingham Forest have enjoyed a strong bounce under new manager Nuno Espirito. Their two fixtures under his tenure saw them upset Newcastle 3-1 away and Manchester United 2-1 at home.
Sheffield Utd vs. West Ham |
West Ham in the head-to-head at 2.24 (Betfair)
West Ham +0.5 at 1.37 (Betfair)
Sheffield United have gone 2-1-7 at home this season and their last home game saw them slump to a 2-3 defeat to Luton. West Ham have gone 4-1-0 as the away favourite over the last twelve months. They have kept four clean sheets coming into this game, which includes their 2-0 away win over Arsenal.
