Brentford vs. Liverpool |
Brentford / Liverpool HT/FT Double at 21.00 (Unibet)
Liverpool to win from behind at 7.00 (BoomBet)
This is a smaller stakes value bet. Brentford have led in 17 of their 23 Premier League matches this season but they have dropped 26 points from winning positions – more than any other side in the league. Three times this season Brentford have led at halftime only to lose, while twice this season Liverpool have trailed at halftime and gone on to win. Liverpool managed to win 3-1 at home against Burnley last week but it wasn’t a convincing performance, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they conceded a lead, especially given Ivan Toney’s return to Brentford from suspension. Liverpool have won five of their last six, while Brentford have lost seven of their last nine, so it wouldn’t surprise me either if Liverpool managed to bounce back from a losing position to win the game. Both teams scored in both of Liverpool’s visits to Gtech Community Stadium since Brentford’s promotion.
Tottenham vs. Wolves |
Tottenham in the head-to-head at 1.60 (Unibet)
Tottenham have won five in a row at home and they have gone 10-0-4 as the home favourite over the last twelve months. Spurs have been boosted by the return of captain Son Heung-min from the Asian Cup. Wolves will likely be without Matheus Cunha due to a hamstring injury. This is a huge blow given he had been involved in twelve goals in Wolves’ last twelve league games (7 goals, 5 assists).
Fulham vs. Aston Villa |
Aston Villa in the head-to-head at 2.36 (Betfair)
Aston Villa +0.5 at 1.45 (Betfair)
Aston Villa will count themselves unlucky not to have beaten Manchester United last week. Prior to that they had thrashed Sheffield United 5-0 away from home. Villa have gone 5-2-2 as the away favourite over the last twelve months. Fulham, meanwhile, have gone 1-0-6 as the home underdog. Looking at the interactive EPL form guide, the Cottagers have lost four of their last six games against strong sides this season, while Villa have gone 3-3-0 in their last six against weaker opponents.
Burnley vs. Arsenal |
Arsenal in the head-to-head at 1.33 (bet365)
Burnley have gone 0-1-9 as the home underdog this season and 0-2-5 in their last seven home games against Arsenal. You have to go back to 1973 for the last time that Burnley won a home league fixture against the Gunners. Arsenal bring a four-game winning streak into this match. Two of those wins were by 5-0 and 6-0 margins over Crystal Palace and West Ham, respectively, and a third was a 3-1 win over league-leaders Liverpool, so it’s safe to say that Arsenal are in red-hot form.
Man City vs. Chelsea |
Man City in the head-to-head at 1.38 (Betfair)
Manchester City are now closer to full strength and this is showing in their six-game winning streak. City have gone 15-3-0 at home over the last twelve months, while Chelsea have gone 1-0-5 as the away underdog. Chelsea did pick up a late win over the injury-depleted Crystal Palace last week, but prior to that they had conceded four goals in back-to-back fixtures.
