The following are betting tips for selected FA Cup Quarter Finals fixtures. Where two or more options are provided for the same tip, pick the one that best suits your risk appetite.
I have also published EPL Gameweek 29 betting tips.
Man City vs. Newcastle |
Manchester City in the head-to-head at 1.30 (bet365)
Newcastle are conceding too many goals at the moment for me to trust them. Eight of their last ten EPL opponents scored two or more goals. Newcastle’s chances aren’t helped by their injury list. Anthony Gordon and Dan Burn left the field with injuries against Chelsea. They could well be joining Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson, Joelinton and Nick Pope on the sidelines for this clash. Newcastle’s record against Manchester City makes for grim reading. Combining FA Cup and EPL stats, City have gone 27-4-1 against Newcastle since 2007. That record is 9-1-0 since 2020.
Man United vs. Liverpool |
Liverpool in the head-to-head at 1.92 (Betfair)
Liverpool +0.5 at 1.32 (Betfair)
Liverpool have gone 4-1-1 from their last six clashes against Manchester United in all competitions. United were kept scoreless in four of their last five games against Liverpool. Both sides played against Manchester City very recently and the relative outcomes of those games highlighted the gulf in quality between Liverpool and Manchester United at the moment.
