Geelong vs. Adelaide |
Geelong has won four of its last five and the Cats boast a 10-0 record at home against Adelaide since 2013. Geelong has also covered the line in six of its last seven home games against Adelaide. The Crows have gone 2-6 as the away underdog over the last twelve months. Adelaide has yet to lose by 40+ away from home over the last twelve months, however. The Crows have gone 8-2 at the line away from home over the last twelve months, while Geelong has gone 2-5 at the line at GMHBA Stadium this season. While Adelaide has a 0-10 record at GMHBA Stadium since 2013, 8 of those defeats were by 1-39 margins. I would back Geelong 1-39 at 2.20 (Dabble).
Collingwood vs. Carlton |
This should be a competitive contest. Eleven of the last twelve games where Collingwood hosted Carlton were won by 1-39 margins and nine were won by 1-24 margins. Collingwood hasn’t lost by 40+ at home over the last twelve months, while eight of Carlton’s nine defeats over the same period were by 1-39 margins. Narrowing it down further, Collingwood has only suffered one 25+ defeat over the last twelve months, while seven of Carlton’s nine defeats were by 1-24 margins. I would place 0.4 units on Collingwood 1-39 at 3.10 (Unibet) and 0.6 units on Carlton 1-39 at 2.25 (Dabble).
Port Adelaide vs. Sydney |
Port Adelaide needs this win much more than Sydney does, which could be the deciding factor. The hosts bring 4-1 form into this clash, while the Swans are in a 1-4 slump. Port Adelaide has won it’s last seven games against Sydney, including the last four at home. The Swans have not suffered a 40+ defeat over the last twelve months and only one of their seven defeats during that period was by 25+. I would back Port Adelaide 1-39 at 2.43 (Unibet).
