Brighton have gone 8-9-2 as the favourite over the last twelve months, while United have gone 2-2-6 as the away underdog.

Spanning this season and the last, Man City bring a 10-game winning streak into this clash. All ten of those wins came by 2+ goal margins. Over the last twelve months, 13 of Man City’s 15 home wins were by 2+ goal margins.
Ipswich fought gallantly in their opening game, but fell 0-2 at home to Liverpool last week.

Tottenham were held to a frustrating away draw by Leicester City last week, while Everton fell 0-3 at home to Brighton. If anything, Everton’s scoreline should have been worse. Tottenham have gone 11-0-3 as the home favourite over the last twelve months. Spurs won their last three home games against Everton by a combined 9 goals to 1.

Leicester City had the best defence in the Championship last season, with just 41 goals conceded in 46 games. They held Tottenham to a 1-1 draw last week and a similar result away from home this weekend would suit them nicely. Fulham fell 0-1 to Man Utd last week. The Cottagers didn’t carry much attacking threat, but they did hold United out until the 87th minute.

Both sides suffered 2-1 defeats last week. West Ham deserved their loss, while Palace were unlucky to have an excellent goal ruled out. The two sides’ last two meetings at Selhurst Park saw seven total goals. Six of the last seven meetings between the two went over 2.5 goals, five of those seven went over 3.5 and four of those seven went over 4.5.

Liverpool have gone 14-2-1 as the home favourite over the last twelve months. Based on that stat, the fair odds for them in this clash is 1.214. Liverpool have won all three home games to nil against Brentford since the Bees were promoted and two of those wins were by 3-0 scorelines. Brentford opted to leave out striker Ivan Toney last week due to “transfer interest”. The Bees have a defeat-heavy 4-2-12 away record over the last twelve months.
