Wolves

Wolves vs. Southampton

Southampton

Both Teams to Score: Yes at 1.66 (Betfair)
Over 2.5 goals at 1.67 (bet365)

Both teams scored in Wolverhampton’s last nine games. Their last seven games went over 2.5 goals and three of their last four went over 3.5 goals. Wolves’ last seven home games all went over 2.5 goals. Wolverhampton top the league for the stat of 4.1 average total goals this season. At home their average is 4.2. Southampton have failed to keep a clean sheet in their five away games this season, but they did manage to score in three of their last four away fixtures – the only exception during that run was away against Man City. The Saints kept a clean sheet at home against Everton last week, however the visitors were wasteful with their 16 shots and failed to score despite an xG of 1.70.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace vs. Fulham

Fulham

Fulham +0.5 at 1.59 (Betfair)

Crystal Palace remain without the injured Eze and Wharton – arguably their two best players. They have failed to beat Fulham in their last five attempts, with four of those meetings resulting in a stalemate. Fulham have avoided defeat in 7 of their last 9 games, while Palace have only managed 1 win in their opening 10 games.

Under 2.5 goals at 1.91 (bet365)

Four of Crystal Palace’s five home games this season went under 2.5 goals, while four of Fulham’s five away games went under 2.5 goals. Palace’s average total goals at home this season is 1.6 – the joint lowest in the league, while Fulham’s average total score away from home is 2.2 – the third lowest in the league.

Brentford

Brentford vs. Bournemouth

Bournemouth

Brentford/Bournemouth HT/FT at 26.00 (bet365)
1-0/1-2 HT correct score / FT correct score SGM at 56.00 (bet365)

Brentford have made a habit of scoring first before going onto lose. In two of their last three games they led 1-0 at halftime and lost 2-1 at full-time. I managed to back the 1-0/1-2 HT/FT SGM correct score on one of those two occasions (51.00 odds v Man Utd), but talked myself out of doing so on the second! Come-from-behind wins have become a trend in the Premier League this season. So far, 10% of the games have seen a team win after trailing at halftime. This equates to fair odds of 10.00.

Over 2.5 goals at 1.62 (Betfair)

Brentford’s last two home games saw 8 and 7 total goals. Seven of their last eight games went over 2.5 goals. Brentford’s five home games this season have averaged 4.8 total goals.

Both Teams to Score: Yes at 1.48 (betr, Dabble)

Both teams scored in Brentford’s last eight games. Brentford have failed to keep a clean sheet this season. Bournemouth have only managed one clean sheet in ten games, with no clean sheets away from home.

Liverpool

Liverpool vs. Aston Villa

Aston Villa

Liverpool in the head-to-head at 1.53 (Betfair)

Both teams will feature in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, however Liverpool’s fixture is at home and a day earlier than Villa’s trip to Belgium. Liverpool have made an 8-1-1 start to their EPL campaign under new manager Arne Slot. In all competitions they have made an 11-1-1 start this season. Aston Villa’s form has dropped off a bit of late as they adjust to juggling Champions League football with their domestic campaign. The Villans have won just one of their last five league games and they enter this fixture on the back of a 4-1 away defeat against Tottenham.

Tottenham

Tottenham vs. Ipswich

Ipswich

Over 2.5 goals at 1.30 (Unibet)
Over 3.5 goals at 1.82 (Unibet)

Over the last twelve months, 17 of Tottenham’s 19 home games went over 2.5 goals. Their last three home games went over 3.5 goals and their last two home games went over 4.5 goals. Ipswich’s away fixtures have averaged 3.8 total goals this season. Their last two away games saw 5 and 7 total goals.

HT/FT: Ipswich / Tottenham at 19.00 (BoomBet)

Ipswich have dropped 12 points from winning positions, which is the most in the league. Tottenham will be backing up after their midweek Europa League fixture in Turkey, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that they start this fixture slowly before enjoying a second half surge, much like they did against Villa last week.

Nottm Forest

Nottm Forest vs. Newcastle

Newcastle

Nottingham Forest +0.5 at 1.58 (Betfair)

With Chris Wood continuing his hot goal scoring run, Nottingham Forest continue to impress. They have recorded three consecutive wins for the first time in the Premier League since 1999. Those wins were by a combined 7 goals to 1. Forest have avoided defeat in nine of their ten games so far this campaign. Newcastle, meanwhile, have won one of their last six.
